Chapter 8 - Omnipotence Paradox.

Friday 1st of September, 2004.

Time: 5:47pm.

Hand Youth Camp.

Bakuto watches as Jim walks out of his office with Colleen following. His trademark smile, a mix of fatherly and sagely, leaves his bearded face. He frowns heavily and begins to pull his beard anxiously.

'I wanted to wait till he's older but it seems like I'll have to push up my plans. At least his resilience and vitality is incredible' Bakuto says thinking of Jim.

'I expected him to have more friends and attachments by now but it seems whatever scarred him is messing with that' Bakuto picks up a mug of coffee from his wooden desk and takes a sip.

'He'll return on Sunday, but who knows when next he'll leave and whether then it'll be for good. The ritual takes a few months to prepare. How can I goad him into staying on if he plans to leave?'.

Bakuto begins to review his relationship with Jim and everything he's seen or heard bout the boy. His eyes widen and then he smiles in victory.

"At the end of the day his interest in martial arts is huge. I can show him some of my skills and promise to teach him. Yes, that's it. Besides, I can use this to begin the conditioning".

The conditioning is the training of your successor in the martial arts and skills you're well versed in. Training in the same martial art techniques allow for similar muscle development and make it easier for the host to adapt to his/her new body better.

Every time one of the new leaders of the hand picks a successor, they go through this process.

"Seems I've found my answer" Bakuto says reaching for the landline telephone on his wooden desk. He presses in some digits and dials the number.

"Begin the preparations".

Location: The Leapfrog.

Time: 11:27 am.

"Video games?" Karol says raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, we the guys were talking about the route we want to take Stein Tech and we decided on computers and video games" Chase says.

"You sure? Do video games make a lot of money?" Gert asks.

"Well we asked Leap and she confirmed this. Apparently we're entering this thing called the Internet age" Chase says looking now to Jim and Victor for support.

"Soon computers will be a huge part of people's lives. Everyone will have one. So if we enter the computer industry we'll make big bucks" Jim says with a smile.

"And since everyone will have computers, computer gaming will be pretty huge too" Victor finishes. It seems they've practiced this.

"Hmm alright" Karol replies shrugging.

"Aren't you guys supposed to be working on other stuff?" Gert asks. She doesn't want this to slow down their progress.

"Well we've been working on ideas since after we had that talk. We decided to use this as an interesting side project" Chase tells his girlfriend.

"It's nice that you guys are thinking of the future. We really can get through this" Nico says before biting on an apple in her hand. She's been feeling a lot better mentally since she stopped cutting herself to do magic.

"Thanks Nico. Anyway the reason why we decided to tell you all now is because we've made our first game!" Jim says excitedly.

"Really?" All the girls chorus.

"Yeah. Leap if you will" Chase says and the lights on the space ship dim. The space in the middle of the group becomes a colosseum with a crowd. The crowd noise starts low and begins to increase before settling as the name of the game is shown.

'Clash!' is shown on the top with a bold golden color.

"Wow, how did you guys make this" Molly asks.

"Leap did most of the work honestly. Remember Jim took videos of martial arts training and fights for us to use as teaching material. Leap then turned those videos into 3D holographic projections for us to learn from.

Well the original thing we planned to use was exactly that. We took those videos and created various characters for our game. Leap also has some files on martial arts so we used those to add more move sets" Victor explains.

"The Colosseum is Leap too. It's one of the seven wonders of the world and Leap has images of it in her database. She just has to create a projection of it. We did go out and rent movies to create and add moves for some characters. But most of what we've had to do is create a gaming controller and make those characters playable" Jim says.

Chase brings out two PS2 looking controllers with numbers instead of shapes. Both controllers are wireless of course.

"That's pretty cool, but how do you guys plan to sell this? I don't think other people have hologram tech at home and it doesn't look affordable" Gert asks.

"We're working on creating a game console. Something that'll stay above the current technology of this world. We'll then bring out newer versions every two years" Chase answers. Chase hands a controller to Victor and they both switch the controllers on. They press the '3' button and a menu shows. The menu for now shows Player vs Player and Player vs AI.

"For now these are the only two game modes. We've thought of adding a story mode, but that'll have to wait" Chase says. They enter the 'PvP' mode and they view a new screen. The screen has fifteen icons on the bottom in a curved fashion. Left and right side of the screens then show full frame of the characters selected doing a motion.

"Gunslinger!" The game says as a cowboy appears, he spins the gun in his hand, shoots it and places it into the holster on his thigh. The effects are amazing and the sound and smoke are brilliant.

"Davy Jones!". A pirate this time appears on the right of the screen with a sword at his hip and a flintlock in his hand. He's currently smoking from a pipe.

"Just fifteen for now, but still pretty good" Victor says swiftly going through some characters and picking his favorite.

"Cyborg!" A buff latino looking man that looks to be wearing a robotic suit steps forward. He has a half mask that's also metallic. As he steps forward, weapons sprout from various parts of his body and enter back in.

"Ha, this is the guy based a bit on Vic. He's super good too. Now Vic will pick the version of the character he wants to use" Chase says. Victor has three selections which are : Weaponized, Martial Artist, Shocker. Victor chooses the Weaponized version.

"So you made some character's based on us?" Nick asks.

"Yep, in fact lemme use yours" Chase says quickly scrolling through and choosing a character.

"Magi!" A beautiful dark haired pale skin woman of Asian descent appears. She's wearing black clothes and holding a red staff in her hands.

"Wow" Molly says, the effects are truly brilliant.

"Why different versions though, what does that change?" Gert asks, being her usual inquisitive self.

"Well each version has a specialization. If we made the characters with all the moves and no versions, the combinations to use some moves will be too complex or long. So we decided to divide the moves and create versions. Each character has three versions". Gert nods after hearing Jim's explanation.

They all watch as Chase chose Spell caster, leaving the other two options: Healer and Bojutsu. The screen changes and this time they choose their fighting stage. There are five locations, with the choice of day or night. Chase presses the '1' button to randomize and the arena chosen is a forest clearing.

There is a change of screen and now both characters can be seen in a circular clearing facing off. The clearing is lit by a few lamps around. They then hear some ticking and a sign appears atop the arena.

'3, 2, 1,'.

"Begin!". Instantly Victor's thumbs move quickly across the controller. Cyborg sprouts missiles from his shoulder and send them towards Magi. Chase blocks quickly making Magi create a barrier round her. The rockets detonate to no effect and their fight continues. Five minutes later, the fight ends with Victor winning. Victor gives a little fist pump and Chase is a bit dejected.

'Honestly Weaponized Cyborg is basically a cheat' Jim thinks to himself as Chase sighs and passes him the controller.

"It's a really great game" Gert says starting to understand its charm.

They navigate their way back to the character selection screen. Victor scrolls through and picks a new character.

"Vlad!" A dark haired caucasian man wearing red armour with dragon designs all over. He's also holding a red long spear. The version selection appears next. His choices are Impaler, Vampire and Demon. As he switches versions, Vlad's appearance changes accordingly. From the Impaler look to a Vampiric look with no spear and showing elongated claws and fangs to the demon look where he looks like those vampire monsters in scary movies with wings.

Jim is currently thinking of what character to pick when Molly decides for him.

"Oo oo, where's my character? She better be super cool". Jim navigates the characters and chooses the one based on Molly with a grin. She is a pretty good character overall.

"Queen!" An athletic blonde woman wearing an armoured full body suit with gauntlets appears and cracks her knuckles which let out a few sparks.

"The motions are pretty realistic" Karol says in a bit of awe.

"Yeah, luckily Leap came with the ability to render all audiovisuals she gets into 3D holograms. Olu assisted if there was any programming needed though. Victor and I worked mainly on character and game design, creating combos for moves and making the controllers" Chase says proudly and the boys grin.

"Begin!" Says the deep voiced announcer. This time it's Vlad (version Vampire) vs Queen (version Wrestling specialist). Queen's other two versions available are Heavy Hitter which is her basic and Acrobat.

Dracula charges in and slashed with his claw but Queen dodges. Jim makes her grab Dracula's right hand. She flips the hand over her and kicks his elbow with her knee. A loud crack sounds, really sounding like broken bone and Dracula gives a short scream and groan.

She then pulls the arm to her and flips Dracula to the air.

BOOM! Zzzz!

Then after the slam, Queen gives him a quick shock.

"Wow! I'm so cool" Molly says with stars in her eyes.

"So can you stop someone when they're going through their moves? Cause what if you just held his hand throughout?" Gert inquires.

"Like real martial arts this game is also about timing. Once someone has the advantage, you have to wait and strike at the perfect time to break out" Jim finishes. He then moves his chin towards two bars at the top of the screen.

"Those bars help with timing and creating your advantage. It also helps in breaking through moves".

The martial arts part of the game came from him and whatever the pride had. The Yorkes and Steins kept notes on some which Jim plans to study later.

Also Jim had been videoing spars back at camp, with the tablet underneath a thick shirt and strapped to his chest. He did this so the team could learn from the videos, but it also helped out in making the game.

'Lotus, a character based on Colleen and from when I watched her train or spar with someone' Jim thinks to himself. Lotus uses a sword like Colleen too.

In a few minutes Jim wins the game and Victor passes the controller on to Nico. Jim then gives the controller to Karol so the girls could learn the game together.

'This kind of distraction is nice once in a while' Gert thinks to herself about to watch the next game.

Thursday, 7th of September, 2004.

Location: Barn.

10:22am.

{Nico?} Gert says telepathically.

{Here} Nico replies. Gert opens her eyes and looks at Jim. She grins and they fist bump.

"Works perfectly" Gert says. Jim grins back and types a few things on the tablet he's holding.

"Awesome, lets try images now" Jim says.

Gert's telepathy is naturally connected to Old Lace. Gert can also connect others to Old Lace. Since Jim discovered that she uses psionic energy to do so, they've been working together. Jim trying to emulate it and Gert trying to make it better.

Once they got the Pride's database and all their information, huge help from Molly's parents and the Yorkes' Charles Xavier book collection. The Hayes are mutant telepaths and it was with the Steins and their help that the Yorkes telepathically connected their daughter to Old Lace.

Presently Gert is more advanced than Jim at telepathy. It's natural for her to create the bridge between two minds due to what her parents did. Jim however is still learning how to do so better.

Sending words however is a different matter for Gert and is something Jim finds easier.

"Alright" Gert says. She takes a good look at a can of Dr Pepper in front of her. She closes her eyes and tries to send the image through.

{It's a bit weird, but I got something} Nico says. She's currently on one of the upper floors of the barn.

{Alright. Thanks} Gert replies. She opens her eyes.

"She says it's a bit weird" Gert says a bit put down. She's not expecting instant results but always wants a high performance from herself.

"Alright keep trying that. Work more on those imaging exercises I highlighted. I have to go check on our energy movers" Jim says typing that down.

Amy and him always record their progress and take notes on everything. Also since Jim pretty much has similar powers with each of them, all these notes will be helpful when they leave.

"Thanks" Gert nods after and gets in a lotus position. Something everyone is pretty used to doing now since they all meditate. Jim walks out of the stable they're in and walks towards the front of the barn.

They decided to use some stables as private rooms especially if they don't want distractions. Molly and Chase are currently in separate stalls practicing their mixed martial arts. Jim has visited them already and noted their progress. They're both doing pretty good.

The front of the barn has no constructs so it's basically a large space. In comparison, the back has stables, those washrooms and storage rooms.

Jim can now see Karol and Victor there flying. That's right, they can both fly and they're not the only ones. Nico has also joined the energy movers class since they got that information. Apparently she can use the dark energy to perform spells without having to cut herself to use the staff of one.

She can fly with the staff, and for now float without it. Karol, in her true form, can fly and Victor can use his electromagnetism to fly also.

Sadly Jim can't fly or even float. He's been working on telekinesis and using the weighing instruments they stole recently, he can currently lift about one kilogram with his mind.

"Hey guys" Jim says. The two, who are working on their mobility by attacking each other, stop and fly down to meet him. Seems Karol has worked up a sweat from her energy expenditure.

Jim was fascinated by the fact that her body absorbs sun rays and then creates the energy she uses. It does make her weaker at night or in places the sun can't reach though.

"Olu, what's up. Notice any improvements?" Karol asks.

"I think most improved this week will go to Molly. She has better handle on her energy now" Jim says. Every week, Jim posts the most improved person that week. That person has food rights for the week and gets to decide what the Runaways eat. Jim isn't included of course as he's the one that decides and he gets his food from camp.

Anyway, Molly has learnt to switch between her powered and non powered states better. She has also shown results in reducing the harmful effects her powered state brings her.

"Well, there goes my pizza Sunday" Karol says sighing.

"Need any more help Olu?" Victor asks. Vic, Chase and Olu have been working together to build the machine that'll remove control and shutdown codes from Victor's mind. Victor's intelligence paired with his magnetism makes him a huge help.

"Some more wiring and metal work to go. It'll soon be ready. After that we'll work on developing the assistant program and calibrating it" Jim says making Victor nod.

'He's really anxious or excited bout it. I can understand though. Before there was no way to get those codes out. Now that there is he'll want them out as soon as possible' Jim thinks to himself.

"Thanks a lot man" Victor says cracking a smile.

"No problem bro. As Chase would say, I'm your mad scientist or guy in the chair" Jim says. He's still unsatisfied with the fact that he barely understands his creations, but for now he's cool with it.

"So how goes your construct creation" Jim enters his teacher mode. The Deans and Minorus gave info on energy manipulation. They both have the same conclusion: energy is limited, so better control and techniques are needed not to waste it.

While the Majesdanians have simpler techniques the Minorus have more extensive knowledge on it.

"Well we're pretty good at energy shields now. We're working on energy slices next" Victor says.

He faces some makeshift targets they've created. They're basically cloth bags filled with straw. The target is about fifteen metres away.

Victor covers his left hand in electric energy and waves it forward in a cutting motion. A wave of energy is formed and propelled forward, but it dissipates after about three metres. Jim taps into the tablet taking some notes.

"Brilliant, Victor. How bout you Karol?". Karol deflates a bit and places her hand to her hair. She gives off a funny smile.

"Well I'm still in the shape manipulation stage honestly, but I can do the sword hand thing though" Karol says. She stretches her right hand out forming a chop form with her palms. Concentrating the energy flowing all over her to it, she then begins to condense and sharpen the energy.

"Good good. You'll soon be ready for release. It's pretty amazing that Victor can do the move already" Jim says looking at Karol's double edged right hand.

"Well I'm a cyborg you know" Victor says with a smile.

"Yeah, how about you Olu?" Karol asks. Jim stretches out his left hand and creates a spinning ball of mana.

"Still in the early stages" Jim says. Karol nods.

"You haven't had a lot of time to practice. I'm pretty sure when you do, you'll surpass us" Karol gives Jim a smile.

"Thanks. Let me see your flight progress before I head back to Lab". Karol and Victor nod before getting airborne. They begin to attack each other using martial arts and weak energy blasts.

Jim watches for a few minutes before nodding and taking some notes.

'Seems Karol is the better flyer. Guess it's natural for her like all Majesdanians while Vic has to concentrate on staying airborne' Jim thinks to himself.

He starts walking towards the barn doors when he feels a nudge in his mind. His mental defences alerting him of a telepathic connection. Feeling the psionic energy he knows it's Gert. He then allows the connection to form. He then gets an image of a bottle of Dr Pepper. The surroundings of the bottle are botched and blurry, but the bottle is pictured perfectly.

{Great job Gert!} Jim says.

{Thanks} Gert replies and Jim can feel her glee.

{You'll soon have this down. I'm gonna go put in some more lab work}.

{Nice. Your mental defences are much better} Gert says. Just last week, she could connect to Jim's head with no issue, now Jim has to allow it.

{Thanks, I'm seeing more progress in my telepathy. Soon you'll be able to practice your defences also} Jim replies. Currently it's only Jim that's practicing resisting telepathy and he can't do the same for Gert cause his isn't good enough yet.

{Alright. Later}.

{Later}.

Jim walks out, gets on board the leapfrog and enters the Laboratory. The Lab has a few holographic interfaces, as every room on the leapfrog does. Before it was just that but now there's a surgical table, various machines and other things around.

"Hey Leap".

"Welcome Master Olu. What do you wish to work on?".

"Let's work on some of Gert's weaponry and utilities. After that it's Molly's gauntlets" Jim reaches a work desk and begins to view some of the items on it.

The team wanted some weaponry for Gert as her only protection is Old Lace. Molly gets gauntlets that enhance the bio-electricity she's capable of using. Chase is also getting some weapons and a utility belt along with his already upgraded fistiguns.

'Thankfully Chase and Victor together have a great knowledge of mechanics. Most of what I've had to do is draw schematics and check on their work regularly'. He repairs any mistakes he finds and works on it himself if he has the time.

"Masters Chase and Victor both claim to have finished Miss Yorkes utility belt and two sets of the upgraded fistiguns".

"Alright let's get a look at that. What about the multi gun?". The multi gun and utility belt are what the runaways came up with to support Gert. The multi gun is a special gun that'll shoot various cartridges with varying effects. The utility belt will of course carry these cartridges and other things Gert can use.

From taser bullets to smoke bombs to sedatives, they plan to make a lot of effects for Gert to put into use.

"As you know the parts of the multi gun that can be created with the 3D printer has been created. Some of those parts that can't have been done by Masters Chase and Victor. The overall progress is about fourty eight percent".

"Alright, not bad. Let's get back to work".

Tuesday, 12th of September, 2004.

Location: Laboratory on board the Leapfrog. In front of barn.

Time: 1:36 pm.

"So let's go through the process again" Victor says making Jim roll his eyes at him.

"Come on man, I've said it like twice now" Jim begins to strap Victor to the surgical table.

"Aren't you a doctor to be? You have to be reassuring! You don't tell your patient that there's a chance of eternal coma on the surgical table!" Victor shouts.

"Calm down. I barely know what I'm doing you know? How reassuring do you expect me to be" Jim says giving a chuckle.

"That isn't reassuring at all!" Victor shouts starting to look like this moment could be his last.

{Really Olu, how dangerous is this?}. Gert and most of the runaways including Old Lace stand at the doorway spectating the process.

Jim immediately replies to Gert as he finishes strapping Victor in. It's just a precaution, in case Victor goes psycho killer cyborg.

{Very. I mean what we've created here should be impossible. One small mistake and it could be anything from deleting a small memory or emotion to an instant mind wipe}.

Gert sweats a bit at that and looks at the black coloured helmet on the table. The helmet has different coloured wires plugged in and connecting to a one metre box that contains a specially made central processing unit. This processing unit is then connected to the main computer desk in the laboratory.

'Not everything can decipher the mind after all' Gert says to herself. The helmet has three large antennae like structures on it. The antennas are like small communication masts except that they are triangular, having circular rings and have a small ball on top.

Chase sits at the main computer desk that currently has holograms projecting various data on it. Jim decided to not have Amy involved in this as she's basically artificial life and may affect the process.

"Alright, everything looks fine. All systems are green. You're gonna be fine Vic, we made this together remember. Trust in the craftsmanship" Chase says making Jim grin.

"I was just messing with ya. You should be fine". Victor grimaces a bit at Jim's use of the word 'should'. Jim picks up the technopathic helmet and smiles at his greatest creation yet.

'It has four main capabilities: Access, Conversion, Protection and Enhancement.

The helmet can display the wearer's mental information on a computer or any audiovisual unit. This information can then be edited within reasonable parameters.

The helmet can transform basic psionic energy to technopathic energy to pure electrical signals. Technopathic energy is the mix between both. Therefore this feature makes the wearer capable of technopathy.

The helmet can protect the wearer from mental attacks, the protection feature is as simple as that.

The enhancement feature allows the wearer's psionic, technopathic or electrical signals to be enhanced. To do this it absorbs more electrical energy and converts it to the other two, boosting their raw power.

'Honestly, a work of art.' Jim says finishing his train of thoughts. He places the helmet on Victor's head and turns to Chase.

"Begin Calibration" Jim says and Chase nods. He opens the application assistant for the helmet. The hologram shows various interfaces, some with graphs, others with pictorial designs, video imaging and so on. Chase presses the calibration icon and a timer shows.

"Just stay calm, this is a standard procedure" Jim gives Victor his practiced doctor's reassuring smile.

"I don'-" Victor goes silent and limp as his eyes roll to the back of his head. Jim turns to Chase walking to the desk. He looks at the timer on one of the screens.

00:29, 00:28, 00:27.

The calibration process shuts down physical movements and studies your psyche. This process allows the helmet to be a better fit for the wearer and lessening the chances of anything bad happening.

'My hint ability for the win again' Jim grins. The timer runs down and Victor slowly comes to after. It takes about five seconds to fully wake up.

"Huh what happened" Victor says. Jim and Chase are looking at the screens,

"Calibration remember? Forced physical shutdown" Chase says.

"Oh yeah. I don't know why I feel so alive".

"It's probably raising your mental ability. Not exactly raising since the enhancement feature isn't on but since you've limited yourself to being human. You're getting a real taste of how powerful you should be" Jim says looking at a screen which shows Victor's body and lots of data.

Right now Victor's whole body on the screen is lit up with blue energy. A previous scan of his body in the Med Bay showed that his body is made up of nanites. Nanites which perfectly mimic human biology. Victor's physicals has improved since he left this and it was jaw dropping watching him lift twelve tons.

Jim didn't know whether to be thankful or not that the Pride has done tests on superhumans with super strength. So the restraining belts holding Victor are pretty strong and can hold up to thirty tons of weight without ripping.

"Seems you're a natural technopath from these readings. You should work on this later" Jim says.

"Cool" Victor says with a grin.

"Alright, I'll be saying the question now" Jim says. The question refer to omnipotence paradoxes which create a logical paradox conflicting with Utron's super logical and super spiritual programming. Basically, when these words are said, Victor would immediately shutdown and enter a form of coma.

Of course these words weren't developed by the team, but came from the Abstract. A book from the Gibborim, containing black magic, unethical sciences and the history of the Pride and Gibborim. As always the Steins create a digital copy for everything they get their hands on as books are fragile.

They discovered the book when looking for ways to get Victor into a coma. The helmet could do that, but it isn't the safest method. What was done before was a brief mental to physical disconnection. A coma on the other hand will basically be putting your psyche into sleep mode. Forcing that with the helmet could be pretty dangerous.

"I'm ready, get that shit out of my head" Victor says with a grin before closing his eyes. Jim nods and looks at the words on the screen to his left.

"Could God make a sandwich so big, that even He couldn't finish it?" Jim reads out.

He watches as the originally tense face of Victor eases and signals on the screen dim. He immediately begins to tap on the keyboard while Chase moves to the processing unit and begins to turn some knobs and flip some switches.

"Connection secured, Using Supreme to discover and bypass firewalls" Jim says. He watches as firewalls are discovered and bypassed, with the firewalls still remaining active. It takes about ten minutes for the tool to say no more firewalls or encryptions discovered.

"As I said, Victor's dad is impressive. So much firewalls and they're very strong also. Now that Victor's shields have been passed by its time to find those codes" Jim accesses Victor's databanks and begins a full scan using the application and helmet. It'll take about an hour from the timer. While the clock ticks by, Jim and Chase begin to go through the various folders and subfolders Supreme hacked into. They of course start from the most encrypted ones.

Meanwhile the rest of the team are playing Clash in the control room.

"Do you think it'll work" Molly says as she picks her favorite character Teki, who's based on Gert and Jim. From the three versions: Illusionist, Telekinetic and Slayer, she chooses Slayer.

"Well Jim's ability has never failed us. If it created this machine and says it'll work, it most likely will" Gert says.

Before meeting Jim, Gert was honestly in a bad place. Being the leader of the team, she understood the daunting task ahead of them. Beating twelve supervillains is hard, but there was hope. But that's all there was, hope. She didn't really believe they could do it, even Nico who's kinda vice leader.

[A/N: That all changed when the fire nation attacked]

That all changed when Jim walked into their lives.

'His whole skill set and abilities have helped us immensely. From having zero fighting abilities, we're at least trained in protecting ourselves. Now we can easily sneak in and out of pride facilities to get information.

Now we have all of the Pride's information, and if we run into any trouble with superhumans we can consult with Leap. Now Chase knows he has powers and can access his memories. I even discovered that I have the X-gene also like Jim, though I got it from the Hayes.

The improvements each of us have made isn't small. It's very sad that he isn't going with us. I want to convince him, but I'll honestly feel like I'm using him. He's a friend and it's his choice. I've let him know that the space is available anyday and anytime'.

Gert looks at the character she's chosen. Decapitator Sango, who also has Fire God and Thunder God versions. This version of him carries a single bladed axe.

'Honestly this game is amazing' Gert thinks to herself already thinking of the big bucks it could make.

About Thirty minutes Later.

Back in Lab.

"Found it" Jim says, after using his ability to go through thousands of files. Chase walks over and looks at it.

"Now we just delete?" Chase asks.

"Yeah, isolate and delete" Jim replies, already going through the process. Once he was done, he gave a fist pump and grabbed a bottle of water.

"Guess that's it. We should wake him up then?" Chase asks.

"No, I'm planning to give him a gift" Jim replies.

"A gift?" Chase raises an eyebrow.

"Yep, You know you're next on the table right. You still can't fully access those memories. This can correct that" Jim says with a smile.

"True, didn't think of that. So what's the gift" Chase asks, watching as Jim copies a few things into Victor's memories.

"Well I'm transferring you guys my complete memories from each of the martial arts I taught you. Victor was learning Karate and Sambo so I've sent him those memories"

Jim watches as complete memories of Karate and Sambo are transferred to Victor. By complete he means everything from audiovisuals to muscle memories.

Jim also plans to send Nico a file containing words she can use for spells from over a thousand languages that he got from Leap. Using the helmet he can transform computer information into something memory like. He's used it already to send himself a lot of information.

'I did get a huge headache though'.

"When did you have time to test it? I thought you just finished it?" Chase asks.

"I finished it this morning. When I tested it I used that chance to send those memories" Jim says.

"Thanks a lot Olu, I'm sure those memories will come real handy. If they are like what I have, we'll be more than decent fighters" Chase thanks Jim. When the transfer is done, they wake Victor using the answer to the question.

"Yes, God can make a sandwich so big even He can't finish... and then He would finish it anyway". Victor Manchia's eyes slowly open.

Chapter End.

A/N

Sorry for posting this kinda late. I have a fever and this huge headache. Luckily I was almost done and managed to finish. Hopefully I can get Osmosian out in time too.

So this'll be the last chapter with the Runaways. By the next they'll be gone. Thanks guys for always supporting The Hint.

The game is kinda a mix of UFC and Mortal Kombat.

The information Jim put in his mind is science and technology as usual and Martial arts information as well.

{} will be used for telepathic messages now.
