Shiro suddenly started to move around a little in his sleep.
[Detected host is feeling discomfort.]
[Reducing the absorption and assimilation rate to host's comfort level.]
[Complete. Continuing with the cycle till host wakes up.]
Both Rin and Arturia looked at each other for a while. If Shiro could see them right now he would see that both of them were trying their hardest not to laugh. Both Rin and Arturia returned inside Shiro's mind without making a sound as they did not want to disturb Shiro's sleep. And they did not even try to stop the basic AI from doing it's thing.
[Detecting host is about to wake up. Ceasing all activities.] Suddenly the AI stopped absorbing and assimilating the particles as soon as it detected that Shiro was about to wake up and went completely silently.
"Ughh.." Shiro's eyes started to move and he slowly woke up from his sleep. He sat up and stretched his arms with a "Yawn". He felt really refreshed after a good sleep. "That was a nice sleep. Rin Arturia are guys here?" Shiro called both Rin and Arturia as he couldn't see them when he woke up.
"Yawn.. good morning Shiro." Rin appeared while yawning.
"Good morning Shiro." Arturia also appeared while looking a bit sleepy.
"Wait why do you guys look like you have slept all night. I thought AI's don't need any sleep." Seeing Arturia and Rin's sleepy faces Shiro became puzzled. As far as he remembered AI's do not need any sleep. It goes against common sense.
"We also don't know. Maybe it was programmed in our system as we were made similar to humans. Only your parents could answer that. Or something happened during your body modification process." Rin also did not know why this happened but she thought maybe the Tachibana couple who created them knew what happened or something completely unknown to them happened.
"I see. Well never mind then I will go and freshen up first." Shiro did not bother to think about it right now for now he put it aside. He went into the washroom and started to wash himself. When he looked at his eyes in the mirror they were back to his normal blue eyes. "I guess it automatically returned to normal. I'll have to find out more about my eyes functions." Shiro muttered to himself.
"Arturia can you tell me what happened after I fell asleep." As he was washing himself he asked Arturia to explain if anything happened after he fell asleep. "I remember feeling the same sensation I felt before but one of you told me to go back to sleep if it was not my imagination." Shiro finished washing up and kept talking to the girls as he was walking back to his room.
"No it was not your imagination. That did indeed happen. But Shiro before we talk about that I think you should order something for your breakfast." Arturia suggested Shiro to order some food and then they will continue their talk.
"Alright." Shiro went and sat in front of his desk and turned on the interface for ordering food from the kitchen. After he was done ordering he looked at the girls. "Alright done ordering food. Now can we continue? Please tell me what happened after I fell asleep?"
Rin and Arturia both looked at each other and Rin decided to explain. "You see after you fell asleep the particles started to gather around you and you started to wake up again that's when we told you to continue sleeping. Some of those particles were trying to enter your body. But then something unexpected happened." Rin stopped and looked at Shiro then at Arturia.
"The basic AI in your body reacted and started to absorb and assimilate the particles in your body. It also controlled the amount you could absorb matching your current tolerance." Arturia continued from where Rin left off and replied with a straight expression.
Shiro looked at both of them with his mouth wide opened. "Then my effort to imitate cultivators wasn't that a total waste of time and effort." He muttered as if he did not have any energy to even make a retort about it. "I feel like a total stupid."
"Pffft." Arturia could not suppress her laugh anymore.
"Hahaha." Rin started to laugh and roll on the air. "Yeah baka Shiro."
"You guys don't need to laugh anymore. I feel embarrassed as it is." Shiro felt his face burning.
"It's not completely useless maybe the meditation can help you calm your mind but I guess that's about it." Arturia tried to console Shiro.
As they were conversing a maid android entered the room with Shiro's food and put the food on the desk in front of Shiro. She bowed and then left as quickly as she came. The android looked similar to the humans but had some robotic features like glowing lines running through it's joints.
Shiro looked at his food which were three chicken sandwiches some salads and a serving of cold orange juice. He started to eat and put all the cultivation stuff on the back of his mind for now. "It's tasty." Shiro ate a bite from the sandwich and felt it was quite tasty. While he was eating Shiro decided to call Minerva. "Minerva can you hear me?"
As soon as he called Minerva appeared. "Shiro did you call?"
"Yeah. Can you please update me on the preparation status of the plan." Shiro wanted to know what the status of the work he told Minerva to do.
"All the preparation are complete." Minerva replied to Shiro's inquiry.
"So soon? I thought it would take more than twenty four hours?" Shiro remembered Minerva told him all the preparations would take her more or less twenty four hours.
"Shiro it has been almost twenty four hours. You have slept close to eighteen hours." Minerva gave an unexpected info that Shiro slept for almost a day not the few hours he expected,
"Ehhh.." Shiro became stun and he stopped eating his food and looked at Minerva. "But how?"
