This made George slowly feel more and more disdainful towards his uncle. Just a few hours ago, well, assumed hours. (He still hasn't left the dungeon-esque basement). He was visiting with his family and enjoying their company. Now he was stuck in the basement and nearly died to a murderous psychopath, and only survived thanks to a chance encounter with a f*cking demon. Just your average Sunday I suppose...
George was quickly taken out of his reverie by Jeffrey, who decided to reply to George's question.
"We were supposed to marry, you see. But... Our mother decided it would be best if the woman got to decide her own betrothed. Of course, she chose Richard... They had dated for over a year once-before, and they had planned on rekindling this relationship before we were arranged to marry."
George felt immense shock upon hearing this. According to quite literally every time his parents mentioned meeting, it was in a mall after they had both watched movies at the cinema. To hear that it was actually much more complicated filled him with curiosity, and a tad-bit of sadness.

Suddenly, the emotional turmoil disappeared, and he was back to himself. He still hated his Uncle for all this bullsh*t, but he no longer carried a pit of sins driving him. If he hadn't had the system, there was no way he'd have gotten out of that so quickly.

George snapped his fingers, and was slightly taken by surprise, as the shadows emanated by his body swallowed his Uncle, and only the man's clothing (and other apparatises he was wearing) remained.

Suddenly, a plethora of new information was being flooded with George. What the hell was the System talking about? As well, he felt much better. More... Himself. Is this what happens when a soul is reclaimed?

George was suddenly taken aback, though quite delighted most of this was information he was privy to. Exccept, what was the mystery item in his skills?

And just like that, George was back to normal. Well, he was half-naked wearing only cargo-shorts, in a room with nothing but cold stone and brief glimpses of sunlight flying through, but that was as normal as things could get at this point.
Taking the chance to finally get back to reality, he left the basement through the stairs on one end, and the sun greeted him kindly.
