Su Shaoyan seemed to positively deflate upon hearing the words as Ying Xuan signed, 'Why Weiwei? Do you have any other plans?'
Shi Weiwei shook her head as she looked at the three of them one by one. "No . . . . I . . . . It's. . . . " she struggled for words for a few seconds before turning silent.
An awkward silence settled over the four, which was broken by Shaoyan after a minute. "I'll fund your trip Weiwei." he said, his face more serious than any of them had ever seen it to be.
Shi Weiwei shook her head as she said, "I couldn't ask you to do that Shaoyan. I wouldn't dream of asking even if it was your money, but since it's your parents' you cannot spend it on me."
"Come on Weiwei." he whined. "My parents have more money than anyone could ever need in their entire lives anyway. Let me do this. It'll be so fun!!"
Shi Weiwei fiddled with the hem of her shirt for a few seconds before she spoke, "No Shaoyan. I know your parents won't mind spending that amount, none of your parents will. But I can't. But the three of you should go." Saying this she got up and began to walk away from them, towards the door of Shaoyan's room.
"Come on Weiwei! It's not that big a deal!" Shaoyan's scream stopped Shi Weiwei dead in her tracks.
"Not that big a deal?!?!" she exclaimed. "Of course, it might not be that big a deal for you, because your parents won't mind parting with a couple of hundred thousand wons. It'll be like charity to them. We'll let me tell you something, I AM NOT A CHARITY CASE!" she screamed and turned around to storm out, but was stopped by Shaoyan's scream.
"YES! I AM DOING CHARITY!!!" Weiwei whipped around upon hearing this, tears beginning to form at the corner of her eyes.
Both Ying Xuan and Lu Zuan glared at Shaoyan in astonishment, shocked that he could utter such a phrase. Shi Weiwei's financial condition had always been kind of a sensitive topic among them. It was for this reason that they rarely ever went to expensive restaurants or cafes together. But Xuan didn't mind, she explored all the cafes and restaurants she wanted with Wei Jingyu. She actually preferred the local restaurants they went to for their outings.
But it seemed like Su Shaoyan was not done as he continued, I'M DOING A CHARITY TO MYSELF! Did you notice how I immediately said yes to Xuan's plan without even thinking of asking my parents? It's because I don't have to ask them. I know they'll say yes. Because they would jump at any excuse not to have me around! ANY EXCUSE NOT TO BE REMINDED THAT THEY GAVE BIRTH TO A FREAK!!!"
Su Shaoyan was panting by the time he was done, and all the three girls were transfixed. Shi Weiwei stood still as a statue while Xuan and Zuan gave each other a worried glance.
"So please Weiwei." Shaoyan spoke again, his voice pleading. "Please don't send me back to that shit-hole after dangling the dream of the best holiday of my life in front of me."
This seemed to break Weiwei's trance as she started to walked forward.
