The Trench held a number of dangers that seemed unassuming at first look. Setting aside the Algae and Barnacles of course.
At the edge of the Awana Trench, there was a few casualties.
Casualties that nobody realized happened until a rollcall took place.
"What? We're missing a few?", Torch double checked the heads.
Somewhere, somehow, a handful of deckhands were whipped away. Among the count was a singular player. Upon finding out which Guild they belonged to, and a handful of messages were passed around, a video was eventually shared with everyone present.
As they had marched their way across the silty ground occasionally a gap would form and swallow someone entirely. It wasn't like they fell, people would've seen it. Rather it was like they were sucked up in the blink of an eye. Since the victims were on the edges of the group their loss was not noticed.
Something was under the sea floor swallowing people whole.
