"What exactly are we supposed to be scouting?", Ollie looked about in the ocean, "I mean there's not like some beacon we're heading towards."
Arcan's nose twitched, "The purpose of a scouting party is to create that beacon for everyone else to head towards. We operate blind so the others do not have to."
"Right! Of course!", Ollie took the words as fact.
Jarvis suggested, "The ruins down there. Can we take a look at them first?"
"Might be dangers lurking about.", Wrock warned.
"Something I'm willing to risk. According to history the Awana Trench is where the trials took place for anyone trying to cross the sea. The Lord of the Sea, prior to its corruption, would drag seafarers down here to undergo those trials. It's likely the ruins might hold some hints regarding that."
"I too want to take a look. Trials usually mean magic. If I can get a look at any written language for the sea, I might be able to replicate the strange mana-less magic that happens here.", Kan'na added.
