Chapter 87 - Tomorrowland

Ivory felt bright light hit her face and she woke up to see that it was 7 AM. Ivory knew that Blue was showering as she heard the shower running in the bathroom. She decided to get up and prepare his coffee. She had to play the part.

She went downstairs and used the Keurig to make his usual black coffee, no milk, no creamer or flavoring, not even an ounce of sugar: black and cold like his personality. As the coffee poured neatly into the mug, she noticed that it was a dark blue color, and the handle was designed as a dragon.

Blue ... Blue Dragons. she thought to herself.

Ivory noted that perhaps Blue loved dragons; fierce and ancient creatures.

Once the coffee emptied into the mug, she held onto the handle as tightly as she could; dropping it and having it break into tiny pieces would leave a bitter taste in Blue's mouth, like his coffee. He'd be furious with her.

She made her way to the winder staircase encased with cold, white marble floors. As she slowly made her way up the stairs, she noticed a huge portrait of a dark blue dragon adjacent to the landing. She cocked her head to the side, noticing that this hideout was stranger than the previous one.

She made her way down the hall and to their bedroom when she noticed a door from the corner of her eye, one she hadn't noticed before. Below the bannister, there was a black door with a dragon etched into the door, and there was a keypad with cryptic looking symbols on it. She sighed and kept walking, though she knew her curiosity would get the best of her soon.

She opened the door to see Blue dressed casually, for once. Rarely did he wear casual clothing: he usually sported suits or a collared shirt and pants. Ivory thought it was strange to see him wearing a sweatshirt and a pair of sweatpants.

Blue looked at her. "What do you have there, dear?"

She smiled at him. "Your coffee."

Blue smirked and faced her. "Black?" Ivory nodded.

He took a sip and ran a hand through her long thick hair.

"Thank you," he said.

Ivory nodded and opened her closet door to pick out her outfit for the day. Blue's causal outfit meant that they had a day off today, and that was not a day she would take for granted. The gang life meant working all around the clock. Back when Ivory was a hacker, she was woken up at 3 AM to check something for Blue, or if someone was in danger, everyone had to be alert. She lost track of how much sleep she missed out on.

Once she threw on her own sweatshirt and pair of sweatpants, she made her way to the bed where Blue was on his laptop. She decided to watch a show on her iPad when Blue's hand made its way around her thigh.

"Remember that we need to be up early tomorrow. Well, earlier than usual."

Ivory's eyes widened and she gasped. "I almost forgot. Our wedding." she said the second part quietly to herself.

Blue patted her thigh. "That's right, princess. Don't forget that the Venue is 5 hours away."

"I just realized that you never specified the location."

"We are getting married in the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church and then having the party at the Sound View."

Ivory stared at him. "I ... I didn't realize that you were Catholic."

Blue laughed and Ivory stiffened up. Then, she realized why he wanted to get married in the church; he loved putting on a show for people. He pretended that he was this nice, handsome, and charming man in public when anyone who really knew him or got in his way would see his mask slip, and then, they'd see what a monster he truly was.

"Sorry, I get it now," Ivory sighed.

"Enjoy your time off; it'll be an extremely busy 3 months after the wedding. We have much to do, much to create."

Ivory shivered at the word create. She knew what he meant by that. Though, she was confused on what 3 months meant and why they needed that time.

"I should be honest with you," he began and Ivory stared apprehensively at him. "I am taking off the next few months for us to plan the next few months together, to build our legacy. Red will be taking over."

Ivory nodded and said nothing else as he typed away on his laptop and took a phone call from Red.

Ivory stared at her iPad's screen, though she didn't watch the show. Her attention was directed elsewhere; she felt anxiety and fear build up in her chest, and her stomach had begun to churn. Though, she wanted to find ways to not let Blue get under her skin, because she knew he had enjoyed every ounce of discomfort he created for her; though, she was unsure of how to ease herself from her nervousness.

She kept thinking about the blue folder and why her dreams would have mentioned one. She watched Blue intensely as he took a sip from his coffee mug, and her eyes widened as he opened up a briefcase.

There, she saw it: the blue folder.

Blue took it and left the room and closed the door behind him, and left Ivory by herself.

Ivory felt herself disassociate, and she felt tears swell in her eyes. It wasn't a dream at all.
