Chapter 7 - °Seven•That Pain Again!°

"Look! The ice-cream truck!" Rhea exclaimed excitedly, pulling me towards the truck. However, I feel that the truck was weird as if the shadow of it is another ice-cream truck. As we got closer, it became clearer. There's a spirit in the shadow of the truck, also selling ice-cream.

I looked slightly upwards to face the ice-cream man, "I would like some peppermint vanilla ice-cream please."

He gave a small nod and turned around. I took this time to look at Rhea. She was ordering her choice of ice-cream as well, but to that spirit. He turned to look at me with a smile. Rhea whispered something to his ears, which made him wave at me. I returned the smile and nodded to acknowledge him.

"Sir? Your peppermint vanilla," the ice-cream man called and handed me the cone. I shot him a small smile and walked away from the line. I met up with Rhea and walked to a bench with her.

"What did you get?" I asked, trying not to look at her. I could see her kicking her legs in the corner of my eye. "Hmm. Caramel chocolate with a little vanilla."

"That sounds so good! Can I have some?" My eyes lit up like a kid and immediately turned to face her, ignoring all the looks I got. She brought it close to my face and I licked it a little and hummed in joy.

That was until I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Excuse me, sir, you are showing your tongue in a licking gesture and it made the woman at the other bench uncomfortable. Could you please not do that to harass anyone?" A guy with a security uniform on said. I let out a small awkward laugh, "I'm so sorry.."

He nodded and went over to her, giving her reassurance. I could hear Rhea giggle at the sight. I felt so embarrassed, why did something like that happen to me! I hid my face and continue eating my ice cream in silence.

"I think I'm ready to go home," I said still consuming my ice cream. Without waiting for her response, I stood up and started walking back towards the house. I licked all the ice cream and munched on the cone on the way back. I could feel Rhea's arm wrapped around my free arm. "I'm sorry such a thing happened," She apologized.

I shook my head and continued walking. The moment I ate the last bit of the cone, a sharp stinging pain was felt in my stomach. I looked down, no blood, no knife, just pain. 'It's him... it's him...' that same voice that has been bugging me said. It urged me to stopped walking and clasp my stomach.

"Boy! Are you alright?" Rhea asked, putting her arms around me. I looked around carefully, ignoring her sentence. Sure enough, my eyes caught some white hair on the ground. I grabbed on Rhea for support. "Rhea, I need you to do me a favor, don't react right now," I whispered. She stayed silent.

"Your bastard of an ex," I started and the pain got worse, which caused me to lean on her even more for support, she held me up and whispered for me to go on. "He's here, a voice had been telling me 'it is him' every time I see him or when I'm in pain, but I didn't know who it meant, until now."

The pain twisted in my stomach and I yelled in pain. Thankfully we were already in the forest area so it wasn't heard. Rhea feigns losing energy and dropped me. As she held me, I could feel her energy flow as if she was doing something with magic. She looked at me, sending a signal to my head that Alvis is here.

At that moment, Alvis walked out of his spot with his hands behind. "What happened, Rae?"

"This guy, he's in pain after eating the ice cream! I think he got food poisoning," Rhea said. I tried to look up at Alvis. His eyes glimmer in mischief but coated by worry. It was sinister.

He helped Rhea help me up and another painful stab struck. His right hand helping me and his left hand behind his back. Rhea stopped in tracts and told him to wait for a second. She went back for a moment and turned back to see why Alvis is hiding his hand. After a few seconds she came back and they walked me back to my room.

He put me to sleep and this time, Rhea signaled that she'd be with me at all times.

I woke up to a sharp pain in my abdomen. I looked down and there was a spike through it. However, there wasn't any blood. The spike starts to remove itself and pierces through my abdomen again. It stings. I'm not losing blood, nor am I losing consciousness. But it hurts. It's so painful. I let out a yell every time it pierced.

"Rhea why? Why did you choose him instead of me? What does he have that I don't? You barely know him!" Alvis's voice blasted through the room. Another spike appeared at my other abdomen. I have two spikes thrusting in my abdomen right now. The pain is immense and unbearable. Just let me faint at least!

"You tortured him!" Rhea yelled. "That's why he's much better! He doesn't do that to others!" Rhea's voice bounced off the walls. The spikes started to twist.

I tried getting up and away from the spikes but it didn't help. Another spike appeared and pierced my left leg. I yelled in pain. A huge board of spikes could be seen falling down on me. I yelled as if anyone could hear me. I screamed and shouted but it wasn't heard.

As the board made contact with me, I jolted up from bed, beads of sweat trembles down my face. Rhea was beside me, holding my hand, Alvis was on the ground, having his soul being sucked away from him.

Rhea got up and wiped my sweat away carefully. She pulled me into a sweet hug, "I'm sorry you had to go through that, stupid guy."
