Tessa Caldwell glanced outside, at the expressionless butler, and smiled helplessly.
Kelly, with her back to the door, didn't see it.
Inside, she was furious, angrily saying, "I don't know what trick you used to fool the old man, making him so infatuated as if he's about to take you home..."
Tessa Caldwell frowned and interrupted her, "Watch your mouth!"
Kelly sneered, "Respect? What's there to respect about someone like you? Don't think I don't know who you are—vain and greedy. Don't think just because you've said a couple of bad things about me that the old man will do anything. I've been with the old man for thirty years, not for nothing, and I am the person he trusts the most."
Tessa Caldwell: "..."
Kelly continued to chuckle as she spoke, "Even if we face off, the old man won't just listen to your one-sided story. He'll need to investigate thoroughly. When the time comes, if I produce some evidence to prove my innocence, who do you think he'll believe?"
