In a room , two men sat down and we're talking about something .
"So how's the village going " said one of the men , " it's going well , after all I am the guy in charge " said another man . This man was naturally the chief of the village of kernon and Carlos's father . And the other man he was talking to was the chief of another village .
These two men continued chatting until suddenly a woman came running in the room and shouted , "Carl , something happened to Carlos! " , " What , what happened to him ?" said carl the village Chief . " I don't know I just heard he's hurt" said the woman worryingly , this woman was Carlos mother , Karen .

In the village doctors clinic .
The village Chief and the woman had gotten here as fast as they could . " where's Carlos ?" shouted Carl as soon as he entered the clinic without even trying to act calm . Immediately the doctor Ran out of the treatment room upon hearing Carl's voice . " he's here " said the doctor while pointing his finger at the treatment room . Carl ran as fast as he could and entered the treatment room and upon seeing what was inside he could not help shouting" Carlos !" .
What he saw was Carlos and his friends lying unconscious on the beds with swollen up face and other visible injuries around their bodies . " what happened to Carlos ?" said carl trying to calm himself down and without even caring for the others who were unconscious , for him only his son mattered .
" It seems as though they got into a fight and lost , but it's way more worse than that " said the doctor . " Please explain doctor" said carl , " well ok , but I'm just a doctor not a detective so this is just a theory " exclaimed the doctor .
" It's fine just explain " said carl ."ok , well it's like this " .
The doctor explained that he thinks that Carlos and his group might have gotten into a fight with some other group and lost the fight , but even after they couldn't fight anymore, the other party continued attacking them because they were scared Carlos would tell the village Chief so they made sure to break their jaws and cut their throats and also went so far as to send then into a coma , so that they wouldn't be able to reveal the unknown groups identity . And naturally these all sounded like something believable and the doctors theory was almost a hundred percent accurate , the only thing the doctor had wrong was that it wasn't a group but just Ren , though there is a reason why the doctor said group , and that's because it was unbelievable that one kid could send eight into a coma .

After having his revenge , Ren started hunting in the forest and was slowly diving deeper .
The forest started of with just a bunch of birds and rabbits and slowly moved onto stronger creatures like bulls and goats .
He was currently hiding behind a bush ready to attack a bull , these bulls were not normal bulls , actually they were at least a couple times stronger than normal humans with thick skin that made it hard to Pierce them and this made it challenging even for Ren who had awakened a qi core to kill them . And he also confirmed that he made the right choice to wait until he awakened his qi core to start hunting , other wise he would've without a doubt died by now .
as the bull got a little closer and was chewing down on some grass , completely leaving his guard down , at this moment a blue light enveloped Ren , this was naturally his combat qi , as soon as he was sure the bull didn't notice him , he ran at full speed and jumped half way and before the bull could notice , Ren was already on top of it , and in the next instance Ren put his qi enveloped hand on top of the bulls head and sent some of his combat qi to the bulls brain through it's ears and as soon as the combat qi made contact with the brain , the brain instantly melted into some sort of blood like liquid .
With it's brain melted , the bull lost it's consciousness and fell down , and Ren had caught his dinner . If normal people were to spectate this hunt , All they'd see is a shadow coming out from the bush and instantly landing on the bull and somehow making the bull drop dead instantly , as they would not be able to keep track of Rens speed and they wouldn't now how the bull would've died .
For all the time since Rens been hunting , he would always take home whatever he killed , and eat all the meat , or store it in the store house as winter was about to arrive , and as for the fur , he would us it to make coats and other things . Ren really didn't waste anything. He also managed to convince his family that he didn't have any girlfriend and was simply hunting because he liked to .
During his time hunting he also learned a few other things about his combat qi . One that combat qi would be extremely corrosive to flesh that wasn't his own , that was how he was able to melt the bulls brain , this made hunting much easier , all it would take is a single touch to win the fight , also he could now use his combat qi internally , basically this meant he could circulate his combat qi within his body , strengthening his body while hiding his combat qi in the process and also conserving his energy , it was all around a really useful skill as now he could conceal his combat qi if he ever needed to use it , as well as that he was also able to concentrate all his combat qi in which ever part of his body he desired , so basically if he wanted to put all his strength inside his right arm for a final strike then he could circulate all his combat qi inside his right arm , making it extremely strong maybe making it 20 - 30 times stronger but with this strength , the whole body will fall out if balance with the arm being stronger than the other body parts , and this boost would also put an intense amount of strain on the arm and would only be able to make one strike before breaking . So suffice to say nothing comes without a cost.
But there was something Ren loved about this as well , by circulating a little bit of combat qi in his brain and eyes , he would be able to think faster and would be able to memorize anything he saw within a few seconds , which made his learning really fast and in addition to learning , he could use his combat qi to examine things .
By enveloping a book with combat qi , everything in that book would instantly be transferred to Rens brain in the form of knowledge , and it would feel like he read the whole book and memorized it . And Ren had a good memory as well so he would hardly forgot anything. same goes for things like swords and other objects , with his qi he could appraise anything , after he awakened his qi core , he also learned blacksmithing and even surpassed senton .
with these new abilities things had gotten way easier . His weapons were the best in the village , and his hunting skills were just as good.

A few months had passed and it was now new year , this day Ren stayed home and enjoyed his time with his family , with his blacksmithing skills , he made a few amulets for his mom and sisters as gifts , and got his dad a new hammer , one which he made himself . Everyone also got him gifts and so on . Ren and his entire family enjoyed new year and we're ready to start working tomorrow .
The next day , Ren started his usual activities , he helped his mom and sisters with some house work and then helped his dad with some blacksmithing and went to the forest , but this time he went deeper into the forest .
He was moving forward until suddenly he got attacked by something , his instincts kicked in at the right time and he quickly jumped back while circulating a little combat qi in his feet to make his jump stronger , he landed a few meters back and then regained his balance , he quickly unsheathed his sword and now looked forward to see what had attacked him , it was a dire wolf , it was at least the same height as Ren while standing on its four legs , and Ren was 1.7 metres tall , which was really tall for his age , he was 13 , after awakening his qi core his physique became stronger and his rate of growth had increased,which explained why he was so tall , but here a wolf was as tall as him while standing on four legs , it had thick black fur with razor sharp teeth and black eyes .
Originally Ren was confident he could take it down , but soon he realized that he was surrounded by a whole pack of dire wolves .
