"And none of you thought to follow him?" Yasu snapped, his frustration boiling over. "Even Tobio? You guys could have put a tracker in his phone or something!"
Kaito sniffled. "He told us he wouldn’t stay long, that he’d be back before nightfall. But it’s almost midnight, and he’s not back. I’m really scared, Yasu. I know Ryuho is going through a lot, but can you guys come back? This is serious."
Ryu couldn’t take it any longer. He slid open the door, rushed towards Yasu and snatched the phone from his grasp then pressed the speaker button.
"What the fuck happened to Aito?" His voice was sharp, cutting through the night air like a blade.
Kaito sucked in a breath, going completely silent. He knew he had fucked up. He really should have thought the plan through before letting Aito go.
