(Michelle Lui's POV)
Our clue sounded poetic and mysterious.
"Find the Moonlit Ghost who loves mischief.
He hides among the guests.
He stands where the light is brightest."
Which basically meant:
We were about to run around the ballroom looking for a very mysterious… partygoer?
Or maybe an actor Andy hired?
Knowing him?
Probably both.
Andy dramatically placed the clue against his forehead like he was reading its aura.
"Mmm… I sense a ghost," he said in a whispery tone.
Vince clapped once. "Great. Let's go exorcise him."
I giggled. "You can't just exorcise actors, Vince."
"Watch me."
Andy grabbed both our wrists gently. "Okay, Moonlight babies, LISTEN. Whoever this ghost is—he'll be standing under the brightest light in the ballroom."
I looked around.
There were MANY bright lights.
Spotlights for décor, the chandelier, the stage lights…
I sighed. "So basically… anywhere?"
Andy grinned. "Yep."
"That is NOT helpful," Vince groaned.
