Chapter 514 - Ch 134 - Instant Regret

A faint, cold snort escaped his lips. His aura did not surge, his body did not move, yet with a subtle twist of his own profound energy, he dispersed the invading force as though it were nothing more than a child's prank.

The sharp tide of Xuan Qi shattered like a wave crashing into an immovable rock.

Jun Mo Xie stood there, calm and straight-backed, the faintest trace of disdain hidden in his eyes. He did not counterattack. To him, the Sixth Elder's so-called 'lesson' was no more than an elder flaunting his strength before a junior. To respond in kind would only lower his own stature.

But inwardly, his killing intent surged higher.

The Sixth Elder, meanwhile, had not held back too much in his strike. Ever since realizing Jun Wu Yi's injuries were healing, his heart had been ill at ease. Trouble for his nephew was something he would not permit. And in his eyes, what was the Jun Family? A once-glorious clan now fallen into dust—unworthy of enjoying even a scrap of fortune.

The boy before him was the sole heir of that bloodline. To suppress him was to suppress the entire Jun Family's hope.

"Ah?"

A flicker of astonishment flashed in the Sixth Elder's half-shut eyes.

This youth had withstood it so effortlessly.

The Sixth Elder of Silver Blizzard City had always carried himself with the dignity of a Spirit Xuan expert. To him, his status alone was enough to suppress juniors.

Thus, even though Jun Mo Xie's resistance had taken him aback, he did not strike a second time. To attack a youth again and again would only stain his own face.

Yet inwardly, the Elder's heart was unsettled. 'That brat actually endured it… Impossible! Even if I only used a fragment of my strength, a mere youngster should have collapsed in pain!'

Jun Mo Xie, however, merely sneered, his lips curling into a faint mockery.

"The old man's Spirit Xuan strength is indeed very overbearing."

Had he spat out blood and staggered under the blow, these words might have sounded like reluctant praise. But as he stood there perfectly unharmed, his tone turned the compliment into a blade of irony.

A mocking slap across the Elder's lofty pride.

The Sixth Elder's eyes narrowed. Rage flared within him, but his self-restraint barely held. 'If I strike again, I will appear petty. But how… how did he block it?'

"Have mercy, Sixth Elder!" Mu Xue Tong's heart had already begun to race. He had been silently calculating ways to divert this storm before it crushed the Jun residence, but the instant the Elder had lashed out, he could no longer sit still. His words slipped out as a plea, though his mind was hard at work, seeking to manipulate this Spirit Xuan into leaving before matters escalated further.

Jun Wu Yi's expression had already turned stern. His brows drew tight as his sharp voice cut into the stifling air.

"Sixth Elder, may I dare ask the meaning of this? Even if you are a Spirit Xuan expert, is striking down a younger generation the manner befitting the great Silver Blizzard City? Or is such bullying the demeanor your Family prides itself on?"

The elder's reply came calmly, but each word dripped with arrogance. "No. I was merely reminding you of the difference in position between the Jun Family and Silver Blizzard City. Should your Family dare to cause us problems, you must be prepared to pay the price."

He glanced at Jun Mo Xie again, his gaze cold and disdainful.

"This boy spoke rudely to this old man. Naturally, I felt it proper to discipline him once or twice. Had he spoken so before another unreasonable expert, such insolence might have cost him his life! Yet I, in my benevolence, merely muddled his head and caused a bit of bleeding. I could have killed him instantly. Do you see, Third Master? Even in discipline, my heart was merciful."

The Elder's voice hardened, his arrogance brimming over. "As for the demeanor of my Family... hmph! The Jun Family is far too insignificant to even comment on it!"

Jun Wu Yi's body trembled, his anger erupting despite his normally calm disposition.

"What do you expect us to do when you heap wrongful blame upon our Family? What face do you give the Jun Family to endure such humiliation? Sixth Elder, today, your Silver Blizzard City must give us an answer!"

But the Sixth Elder only laughed leisurely, his words rolling like thunderclouds:

"If my Xiao Family's offspring encounter another 'accident' at the hands of your Jun Family, this is the fate that will await your descendants! That was the purpose of my little demonstration. Do you disagree? The Jun Family has only one heir left in the youngest generation. To remove him would hardly be troublesome!"

He chuckled coldly, his tone brimming with tyranny. "As for the answer you demand, ha ha… Do you truly believe I will give you one?"

The atmosphere grew heavier with each word, suffocatingly oppressive.

At that moment, a whistling wind tore through the courtyard. A white-haired old man descended like lightning, carrying a delicate young girl in his arms. His sharp eyes swept across the scene, pausing in relief when he saw that tea still sat untouched on the table.

'So… blades have not yet been drawn. Good. At least the Sixth Elder's fury has not yet spilled over.'

"What brings you here, Third Brother?" The Sixth Elder's tone carried a flicker of regret. His strike against Jun Mo Xie suddenly felt ill-timed. 'The Master warned us clearly before we left Silver Blizzard City—not a hand against the Jun Family! Now that Third Brother has arrived, I cannot act again. But why has he changed his deployment so suddenly?'

The Third Elder had not even opened his mouth when a harsh, rebellious voice exploded across the courtyard like thunder.

"Damn it! Which motherfucker shrimp just attacked Mo Xie?! Do you want to die so badly, you bastard?!"

The words were savage, unrestrained, filled with murderous fury.

The Sixth Elder's eyes snapped open, his face darkening as his pride roared. "Who dares speak so rudely to this old man? Even your corpse will not remain after this old man is done with you!"

But almost instantly, regret stabbed through his chest.

'What… why did I just say that?'

Because in the next breath, a black silhouette split through the air. His long black hair streamed upwards like a banner in the wind as he descended like a heavenly eagle, his ten fingers splayed like talons eager to rip flesh apart.

The very flowers in the courtyard bent backward under the sheer force of his dive. Air roared as if ripped apart, forming a vacuum in his wake.

Everyone present felt their breath caught in their throats, their bodies trembling under the crushing aura. The pressure was so immense, it was as if the heavens themselves had collapsed, smothering the world beneath.

This strike carried no words, only pure, unrestrained killing intent.

"Solitary Falcon!"

Both the Third and Sixth Elders exclaimed in unison, their voices hoarse with shock.

'The god of death himself… here?! And I… I just threatened to kill him?'

But regret was meaningless now.

The Sixth Elder's face drained of color. He shot to his feet and flung himself backward, his body rolling into five, six consecutive somersaults. As he retreated, he layered one defensive Qi shield after another in front of him, each humming with Spirit Xuan force.

Yet it was like throwing paper screens before a raging storm.

The Solitary Falcon's claws did not waver. He tore through barrier after barrier as if slicing through tofu, the protective layers bursting apart in shards of energy. The crushing aura bore down, unstoppable, his shadow filling the Elder's vision like the black curtain of death itself.
