"Please, Master Falcon! Have mercy!"
The Third Elder's face had turned pale as he darted forward, his own aura surging in a desperate attempt to shield his comrade from destruction.
But the Solitary Falcon's killing intent only grew sharper, more suffocating.
The Solitary Falcon ignored everything else as the murderous aura in his eyes sharpened into something tangible, taking form in the shape of his ten claw-like fingers. They gleamed with killing intent, like ten blades poised to rip apart the heavens themselves.
He was furious. No, beyond furious! His rage had burst past all boundaries of reason.
Jun Mo Xie was not just some pampered scion to him. That youth was his benefactor, his master in disguise, the one who had handed him guidance when he was lost, resources when he was desperate, and strength when he had reached the end of his path. Every step he had climbed in recent times bore Jun Mo Xie's mark.
To strike at Jun Mo Xie was to strike at his very life!
And yet, under his very nose, someone had dared to do just that.
The Solitary Falcon almost choked on his own shock when the Sixth Elder's attack struck. His heart had nearly stopped beating. 'If Mo Xie had been harmed, how could I ever face him again?'
Jun Mo Xie might have brushed it off without blame, but the Solitary Falcon himself could not. The fury tearing through him now was the fury of a Great Master who had nearly lost the only person he had truly tied his life to.
His hands curled tighter, murderous force pouring from his body like a tidal wave, suffocating everything in its path.
The Solitary Falcon's dive shredded through the Sixth Elder's defensive layers as though they were nothing more than rotted parchment.
By the time the Sixth Elder had somersaulted backwards a seventh time, desperately piling barrier upon barrier, the Solitary Falcon had already pierced through them all. His body accelerated once more, descending like a meteor aimed straight at the Elder's chest!
The Third Elder rushed forward at that very instant, his body colliding with the Solitary Falcon in a heavy thud.
Bang!
But the Solitary Falcon's body did not even tremble. The Third Elder, however, was flung away like a broken kite, crashing back with a muffled grunt.
The next instant, the full might of the Solitary Falcon's strike smashed into the Sixth Elder's chest. The condensed Xuan Qi of a Great Master roared into his body like a storm!
Pop! Pop! Pop!
The sound of ribs snapping echoed crisply. Blood erupted from the Elder's mouth, splattering his robes and staining the once-pristine white in deep crimson. His body bent under the pressure as though crushed beneath a mountain, his organs shuddering violently under the shock.
He tumbled backwards, rolling across the blossoming flowers like a discarded rag doll, bouncing twice before slamming against a tree. The trunk shuddered under the impact as he slumped against it, coughing out mouthful after mouthful of blood. His breath came ragged, his chest caved slightly, his body trembling from the agony of broken ribs and ruptured organs.
The Sixth Elder, prideful Spirit Xuan, expert of Silver Blizzard City, was reduced to a half-crippled wreck in an instant.
"Wh… why?"
His voice broke into a wet cough, blood spilling from his lips again. He raised a trembling hand to wave Mu Xue Tong back, refusing help with a bitter expression etched into his pale, blood-drained face. His eyes glared with pain and disbelief as he tried to steady himself against the tree.
The Third Elder, Mu Xue Tong, and even the Little Princess, none dared to speak. Their minds echoed with the same question.
'Why? Why would the Solitary Falcon strike with such terrifying force, even at the risk of forging a death feud with Silver Blizzard City?'
The silence was broken by a voice colder than steel, sharper than blades.
"This old man has always done as his heart desires," The Solitary Falcon declared, his long hair rising wildly behind him, his black robes snapping in the lingering winds of his fury. His eyes blazed like lightning, filled with disdain and arrogance.
"I can wipe away thousands of shrimps like you with a wave of my hand. You should be grateful to have lived this long without realizing such a simple truth! And you dare ask me why? Who are you to question me?!"
His voice was thunder itself, crashing down upon the broken Elder. Each word dripped with the satire of mockery, throwing the Sixth Elder's earlier arrogance straight back at him.
The Sixth Elder's ears rang with his own words, replayed now in merciless ridicule. What had once been his proud boast now felt like shackles binding him in humiliation.
The blood dripping from his mouth was bitter, but the taste of defeat, of being crushed and mocked before his peers, was far more poisonous.
The Sixth Elder's face flushed crimson, veins bulging across his temples, his chest heaving as though he would drop dead from sheer humiliation!
"How dare a little shrimp like you run amok in this Old Man's territory?! You dare disrupt my practice, you unworthy little fry! And then you actually ask me why I attacked you? Didn't you just say you'd kill me? How could I miss the chance to grant you that wish?! What a joke! Mr. Xiao, do you truly think you and your Silver Blizzard City are invincible? In my eyes, your Xiao Family and the entire Silver Blizzard City are nothing but hollow waste, Han Feng Xue being the sole exception!"
The Solitary Falcon did not erupt in fury at these words. Instead, he moved with a calm, chilling majesty. He took two deliberate steps forward, hands clasped behind his back, each movement exuding a domineering arrogance that pressed down on everyone present like a mountain of steel. His eyes, sharp as blades, settled on the quivering elder.
He leaned slightly, as though whispering to the winds, yet his voice thundered through the courtyard.
"What? That is what I think... would you care to differ? I've spoken my mind... now I'm asking you. Do you agree with me?"
The Sixth Elder's face twisted, his lips pressed together in stubborn silence, but his eyes betrayed him, burning with unwillingness, yet powerless to defy.
The Solitary Falcon's laughter cracked the heavens. "Mr. Xiao, if your reply makes me unhappy, then this Old Man will immediately head to the Magnificent Jewel Hall and behead every Silver Blizzard City dog within Tian Xiang City! That includes your two brothers, your precious Xiao Family members, and even this dainty little princess standing here! Ha ha... Very good, very good indeed! You've brought nothing worthwhile to Tian Xiang, so tell me, would I not find it amusing to clean them all out like vermin? Hey, Shrimp, tell me, do you think I wouldn't dare?!"
The murderous intent rolling from him was suffocating, a raging sea that crushed every breath from the air. Even the flowers in the courtyard seemed to wither, bowing their trembling stems as though terrified.
He barked coldly. "Stop pretending to be deaf and dumb! Get up, now. This Old Man will ask you once more: do you agree with me?!"
