Alice Robinson's nose tingled with the urge to cry, she struggled to hold back the sob in her throat, "Are you saying that you haven't been happy with me these days?"
Chester Robinson turned coldly away, speaking in a calm voice, "What I mean is, I've thought carefully about what you've said to me, and I feel we do need to take a break... You don't trust me; no matter what I do, you find it hard to forget my past feelings for Becca. If we continue like this, our future days will be spent in a cycle of misunderstandings... Such days, I foresee, would be very tiring."
Alice Robinson spoke with a heavy nasal tone, "Can't we just explain everything clearly..."
"If explanations were useful, I believe after I've explained countless times my feelings for Becca, you wouldn't have chosen to run away from the wedding."
