Lex continued to frown as he thought about the situation a little more. His body wasn't here, but even if it was, could his instincts really detect the intentions of a Dao Lord? It was all but impossible. Maybe if mastered his Dao Body training, or fully learned how to control it, he would be able to. But that was far from the case.
That left only a couple of answers. Either the Celestial Immortal that sent the letter allowed his intentions to be abundantly clear, letting the Innkeeper sense them without them being said, or that they were the intentions of the Celestials daughter who he had mentioned in the letter.
Speaking of the letter, the golden scroll burnt up after the illusion was over, leaving nothing behind. Although Lex felt it was a bit of a waste of ingredients, since the scroll was made up of a variant of gold even more precious than what Goldilocks made, it was also somewhat convenient as Lex didn't need to store another Dao level letter in his drawer.
