They had been at an impasse for weeks at a time, with a few small breaks in between when he managed to temporarily get away from them. Due to the difference in the flow of time, the war in the Conquest had been going on for months already!
This fight had been the most frustrating he'd had since he got his system because that woman from the Inn - the one leading the invasion - could do something he'd never experienced before. She could cause him to disconnect from his system!
In truth, even she did not know or understand what she was doing - that much the Grand Conqueror understood. However, she had an ability which interfered with all communication to cripple him and prevent him from contacting reinforcements. Whenever she used that ability, contact between him and his system would be severed too!
