In the north outskirt of Maramures, a region that acts as a border between Romania and Ukraine, there is a fairly small orphanage stood up in the hillside of the mountain. The building of the orphanage is really old as you can see from its tumbled-down structure, its almost as if like it would be collapsing anytime soon. There is also a small-old chapel not too far from the orphanage. But other than that, you could hardly see any houses let alone a village near that place.
It is a very isolated place, very contrast of the Maramures' status as a quite popular tourist destination in Romania.
*Klank* *Klank*
A sound of a metal bell clanking could be heard, breaking the silent peace atmosphere around the orphanage as the sun is rising from the east.
" Guys, wake up. It's way past six, our morning praying time. Sister will scold us if you guys not waking up soon. "
It was a voice of a teenage girl, around fifteen years old. She has a typical eastern european appearance with a beautiful brunette hair tied neatly.
She said that as she opened the door of a room containing 7 people that are see sleeping comfortably despite lying on a very thin sheet of fabric that are too thin to even be called bed, it's as if the coldness of the floor didn't bother them even on the slightiest bit.
" 5 more minutesssss. " Said a 7 years old boy while half conscious, he drolled all over the sheet.
" Dracula is cute. " It was from the little girl on the other side of the room, talking on her sleep.
" Ghhhkkkkkkkk, Ghkkkkkkk " An ugly snore came from the fat boy around the age of 10 that is sleeping like he was being crucified, pretty weird form of sleeping.
Hearing that answer and seeing that no one even bothers to wake up after hearing the annoying clanking sound of the bell in her hand, she clenched her hand, pissed off.
" Y-you guys.... " She then shifting her gaze towards a boy that is seen sleeping facing the wall in the corner of the room.
" And you Jay! As the oldest among all of them you should've put a good example to your siblings. You should be the one who woke up first and lead them to do our morning praying. " She said.
The boy named Jay, then turned around as if he wasn't even sleeping all this time. But simply choice to ignore her shit.
" I wasn't even sleeping though. " He said, while looking at her with his deep black eyes, and a noticable eyebag under those eyes.
" You don't sleep all night again even though sister already scolded your ass just a few days ago? " The girl that actually named Elena couldn't handle but to leave a disbelief sigh.
" Well this book that sister gave me yesterday is really good, i couldn't help but to read it all night. So it was technically her fault, no? " Jay answered as he yawned, closing the book in his hand before standing up and walking towards Elena just to snatch the bell in her hand.
" What are you doing? " She raised her brows.
" Watch and learn. " Jay said, he take a deep breath and then
" WAKE UP ITS TIME FOR BREAKFAST! " He shouted with all the voices that he has, and not too long after that all of kids are opened their eyes as if there is some magnetic force came from the word ' breakfast '.
" Breakfast!!? "
" I'm comingg!! "
Jay smirked to Elena who is flabergasted next to him.
" Alright imma wash my face, you handle the rest. " As he giving the bell on his hand back to her before leaving the room and Elena who still silent.
' What's even the point of snatching the bell from me? ' Elena thought, before she get swarmed by the kids.
" Elena, where is the breakfast!? "
" What is the breakfast? Is it potatotes stew!!?? I hope it is potatotes stew, i don't like stale bread. "
Everyone is throwing a bunch of questions on Elena regarding a breakfast, and she couldn't say anything because breakfast isn't even ready yet.
' That little... '
She clenched her fist, holding the urge to run and smash Jay right on his head, but shejust sighed in defeat, accepting her fate. All she needs to think about right now is how to subdue these chaotic embodiment aka kids.
*sigh*

It was a beautiful morning as the warm sunlight gleaming through the forest and engulfing the vast land full of grass.
And in between to maple trees there is Jay who is sleeping on a hammock by himself. Today as usual, he would be taking these orphanage's cows to take their breakfast which is eating the grass in the meadows not too far from it.
" No matter how i think about it, i still thought it ironic how i would take these livestocks out to take their breakfast when i haven't even take mine. " He muttered while closimg his eyes.
Breakfast is not a big thing for Jay. Well, not only him but everyone in the orphanage. They're unsurprisingly poor and the only way they can obtain some money just to put a food on their plate is by selling the milk that these cows produce to the villagers nearby.
It's already amazing how they can live all these years just by doing that. And for donation, it's good if there is one, but no one even cares to donate their money to a small orphanage that is isolated from the society. There is still donation here and there from ex-orphan that used to live in this orphanage, as most of them had already gone to the city, leaving this place to get a better life.
They're working to live their own respective life, and it's already good that they're still have a generosity to give some of their hard working money on this place just to feed strangers they don't even know. And Jay isn't an ungrateful bastard so he understand that.
'I wonder if i would do the same if i ever get out of this place.' He thought. He staring at the sky as his black hair swayed by the winds.
And as his thoughts are wandering around as he closed his eyes, he felt the sudden silence on the atmosphere around him. No bird voices or even the cows could be heard. Jay is naturally gifted with super sensitive senses, times moe sensitive than a normal human. He doesn't even know why he have such talent.
And as the silence break, a sudden earthquake surprised Jay. The ground is shaking enormously, the horde of birds is flying to the sky, and the cows are screaming.
" Uck. " Jay groaning in pain as he fall down of his hammock to ground, it stratches him a little bit, even though the bleeding is stopped just second later.
He then crawling to the open field as he still trying to balancing himself.
' An earthquake!? ' And as he trying to analyze the situation, suddenly there is dim light that could be seen from deep withing the forest in front of him.
Moment later the vibration subdued and Jay is trying to stood up as he dust off his clothes before trying to observe the situation and what just happen. He then remember the dim light from the forest that he saw when the earthquake happen.
" That light... This earthquake is possibly related to that light. " Jay muttered.
' Should i go the forest? ' He thought. Jay looked back at the orphanage on hillside that couldn't be seen with a normal human eyes. If sister or Elena knows that he was going to the forest by himself, he would be grounded for at least a week and that is suffocating.
" Well that is if they know. " He said with a fuck it attitude.
Leaving all those cows who continued to eat their grass as if there is nothing happened, Jay are walking into the forest with just a stick on his hand that he used to herd the cows.
As Jay is walking deeper and closer to the direction of the light, he find that his body is trembling slightly as if there is an invisible force that is pulling him into the forest.
' There is no mistake, that light is the thing that caused the earthquake. ' He thought.
After walking for a while, Jay finally arrived in the place that he believe is the point where the light is appeared. And just as he thought, the sight in front of him is quite astonishing. Bunch of trees are wrecked and fallen to the ground.
But Jay's eyes aren't focusing on the destroyed trees, on the contrary his attention is directed towards the center of all that. On the ground, there is a boy that is probably the same age as him lying unconsciously. That boy has a dark silver hair, pale skin and a quite handsome face. His clothes are torn apart and there are plenty of scars on his little body.
Jay relaxing his body as its finally stop trembling. He then walking hesitantly towards the body of that little boy, in his mind is that he needs to check whether that little boy is still alive or not. He can't just leave him in the middle of the forest alone by himself.
" This boy... " He muttered.
Jay then trying to wake him up by poking the wooden stick in hand onto the boy's body but he doesn't seems to show any sign of movement.
' Is he dead? ' Even with his sensitive hearing, he could hardly hear any pulse from that little body.
And after a brief moment, Jay then crouching next to the boy's body. He then trying to check the pulse in the boy's neck but before he could lay his finger suddenly the boy's eyes is opened and its surprises Jay.
" Wha- "
And instantly, Jay's wrist is grabbed by the boy. It was so fast that Jay couldn't even react. Not only that, Jay also feels like there is something sharp touching his neck.
" I gave you 5 seconds to identify yourself and why are you trying to grab my neck! " That boy said with a cold voice, pair of blue eyes staring at Jay's deep black eyes.
" Ja-,... Zayyn, my name is Zayyn Kovalenko. And i'm not trying to grab your neck, neither to cause any harm to you. I'm just checking whether you're alive or not. " Jay said calmly, that is unbelievable despite the killing intent that is emitted from that silver-haired boy.
A silent atmosphere, no one is talking nor there is any sound. It was just two little kid staring at each other with one kid threaten to kill another kid at any moment.
After examining whether Jay is telling the truth or not, that boy is withdrawing his killing intent and then releasing Jay's hand.
' I thought i'm going to die. That is really hurts, that brat is unbelievably strong. ' Jay is trying to remain calm as he touching his left hand wrist.
The silver-haired boy is standing up and then trying to check up something on his pocket. He then shifting his gaze towards Jay in front of him.
" You said your name was Zayyn, tell me where are we right now. "
" Yes i am, but isn't it rude to ask another person's name without introducing yourself. " Jay said, refusing to answer his question.
That silver-haired boy is silent for moment before he then opened his mouth.
" Me... I am Vali Lu-, Lucian. My name is Vali Lucian. "
