Mia exhaled shakily, like she had been holding her breath for years.
"Ricardo," she said.

Mia continued, voice trembling. "You keep thinking he's here. Watching from somewhere in Europe. From the same circles you're stepping into."
She shook her head.
"That's not how he operates anymore."

"He's not in Italy."

Ezra's voice turned colder. "Then where is he?"

"New York."
