Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Their bodies were badly mutilated

Lora was worried as she paced back and forth outside the door.

When the man went inside there were quite a few noises but they quickly stopped.

It had been quite a while, she finally sighed with relief as she saw him come out unharmed.

She looked at the motionless zombies that were tied together and almost vomited.

Their bodies were badly mutilated.

Judging from that she assumed, they were stabbed multiple times with a sharp knife before they got bitten by an undead.

Lora looked at the half scabbed over wounds that were leaking green fluids.

She could see green stained maggots and other unidentified insects.

Wiggling in and around the wounds along with the stench that came from rotten flesh.

She instantly became disgusted while the man tied a sheet around the already dead undead zombies.

Making them look like mommies.

He then dragged them out of the house as she reluctantly cleaned the 'fresh' green blood that had splattered on the floor.

Walking back inside he brought the food off the table outside the kitchen door onto the counter table she had wiped off.

After cleaning the kitchen, she felt much better.

Lora looked in the cupboards, she took out a few pots and pans then used his clean water to wash them.

She boiled the running tap water, the water was clean because to the back of the villa was a tank.

She had seen it when she came back inside, she transferred half of the water to another cleaned pot.

She used a little of the cooled hot water and his clean water to rinse off the rice.

Lora put the rice to boil half way and looked in the cabinets.

She found five plates but four of them were broken.

Thus she cleaned the only plate along with two found bowls, then put the other two on the table.

The man took over her job and opened the canned beans and sweet corn.

He placed them in the bowl as he drained it in a container for later cooking, he opened two packs of sweet and spicy beef jerky.

Stripped them into thin and long slices, since they were wide and put them in a bowl along with a pinch of salt and pepper.

He poured a bit of sesame seed oil into the pan and fried them together.

Then he added the soy sauce they had found in the cupboard.

The rice was half cooked and ready to be fried.

The man lowered the stove's temperature as Lora drained the rice water thoroughly.

She waited for the water vapour to escape out of the rice which was steam.

Then she poured it into the pan as he continued to low back up the pan.

The man stirred until the rice became golden brown.

The food was done as they shared it out on the plates as for the cups Lora filled it with water.
