"I want to have a video call with Bartley now, can Miss Norris arrange that?"
Amos Smith's request left Bertha Haines stunned. After hesitating for a while, she eventually gave in.
"Alright, I'll add you in a bit."
Amos Smith urged, "Add me now."
While talking on the phone with Amos Smith, Bertha Haines glanced back at the living room, where April was chatting with the two little ones. Her brother stood aside, unable to join the conversation.
"We have guests at home, and I need to help with cooking in the kitchen."
Amos Smith instinctively asked, "What guests?"
Bertha Haines replied irritably, "Does this have anything to do with General Manager Smith?"
Amos Smith said cheekily, "I have the right to know who my son interacts with every day."
Bertha Haines replied with some annoyance, "It's April! Is there anything else, General Manager Smith? If not, I'm hanging up!"
Amos Smith: "Nothing else."
