Toriel Pov
Shortly after the strange occurrence that was dubbed 'reconfiguration' among the monsters in the ruins, I felt the new magical signatures at the mountains mouth.
As the caretaker of the ruins I have experienced this event exactly 6 times...
another human has fallen into the ruins.
This time they were two, one with extraordinary strength, I rushed to the mountains mouth, and hurried when I felt a monster attack them, She knew the attacker from the feel of his magic, it was the flower that stalked her on occasions, whenever she turned her head the flower just escaped into the ground.
She wouldn't let another human die in her care.
So when she turned the last corner, she lunched a fire wave towards the laughing flower with all the fury she could master.
The flower predictably retreated, she sighed at the scorched ground left behind before looking at the two humans that huddled together.
'A father and daughter' she thought melancholically 'and both are wounded!' she covered her mouth with horror at the state of the child, she approached quickly but with gentle steps, as to not scare the humans, who most likely never saw a monster besides the flower monster that attacked them.
Once the human child saw the threat was over she limped in the hands of her caretaker, the human father looked at Toriel with panic and pleading eyes, asking for help, and she of course provided.
"What a terrible creature torturing such poor innocent youth"
------------------------------------------------------------
Toriel talked with James the human at her kitchen while his child slept, firstly they talked about the Reconfiguration, then about their skills
"the unique skill I got from the Reconfiguration is [Magic Queen] which allows me to control the magic around me absolutely, while I was strong magically before I never had the ability to wrestle control of the magic around me." Toriel smiled weakly "I think the reason I got a unique ability unlike most monsters is because I am a 'Boss Monster'" she already explained to him that among the monsters there were 'Boss monsters' which were exceptionally powerful and even immortal to a degree.
"that's incredible I also got a unique skill" he shared "my unique skill is [Continual], it essentially protects me from any outside interference with my soul" James talked between bites of her newly baked butter biscuits.
"That's incredible..." I half whispered in shock "does that mean any attack on your soul is simply meaningless?" I asked, if it truly does than he is basically invincible
"uh no" he seemed rightfully uncomfortable talking about attacks directed to his soul "its more of a 'changeless' than 'invincible', at least that's what I'm getting from appraisal." he looked at the plate of biscuits and smiled "these are really good, thank you for the hospitality"
"nonsense" I smiled "as the caretaker of the ruins, it is my job to help anyone that passes through" I lifted my tea cup for a sip
"still" he insisted "at least let me do the dishes afterwards" he looked at me with a weary smile, knowing from previous attempts that trying to persuade her won't work, she won't allow her guests to do menial work.
She was about to answer when she felt the child move out of their room, she turned her head and-
A silhouette of her deseased adopted child flashed in her mind Her eyes widened at the child, 'they looked just like...'
"what you guys doin" Frisk walked tiredly and confidently to the kitchen while both Toriel and James simply stared "ooOOoo are those biscuits?!" they instantly woke up and walked at a faster rate to the table
Frisk took one biscuit and shoved it in their mouth, afterwards they made exaugurated eating noises with a blissful face
Toriel all the while stared at Frisk, wondering why they not only looked like Chara, but also had a subtle secondary magic signature sticking to them that felt similar... to her dead Child.

James POV
Frisk as always acted aloof while crashing the conversation like a truck.
"can I explore the ruins for a bit? I wanna see how this thingy works" Frisk asked casually before lifting their fist and-
A red fire engulfed their hand
"Oh shit!" I stood up quickly, throwing the chair behind me, I lifted my hands, reaching to pat Frisks fist to douse the fire, but my thoughts paused when I saw that frisk didn't show any reaction to the flames.
Then a douse of water sprayed both me and frisk
"..." Toriel looked at the still burning fist in confusion before she lowered her arms slowly, looking sheepish at our stoic faces
----------------------
Apparently, according to my [Analytical Appraisal] the red flames are called 'Aura' specifically they are a 'Mystic art', that fuses Battlewill and a skill, Frisk says they use their unique skill [Determination], which apparently is pretty much tailored towards enhancing this 'Aura' thingy.
We went outside to test this Aura, and Toriel guided us towards a large clearing with ruined structures within the Ruins themselves.
"Woah, this clearing is huge!" I raised my voice to test the echo of my voice, which sure enough happened.
"These buildings were once the barracks of the kingdom, they housed both the army and the royal guard." Toriel looked with nostalgia while we kept walking "it has long since fell to... ruins!" Toriel smiled at us expectingly
"HA-haha" Frisk wheezed at the bad joke while I lost a bit of the respect I held for the former queen "Nice one" Frisk wiped a tear from laughter after breathing correctly again
We stopped at a great wall that looked sturdy, we stopped while Frisk got closer to the wall.
When frisk stopped, they closed their eyes and concentrated, Battlewill is exactly what it sounds like, its the aura produced when someone is determined enough to harness its metaphysical strength with their will alone.
they got into a punching position, lowering their center and gripping their right fist with their left palm,
First, Their Fist glowed a faint red.
Then Fire burst from the closed fist.
And finally the fire became more condensed, and became a thin film around the fist, my [Analytical Appraisal] started going haywire
"wai-" I hesitantly put a word out of concern for the child exploding their hand along with the wall, but Frisk already shot out their fist like a bullet
*CRACK*
Instantly deep cobweb Cracks appeared across the wall, a shockwave passed me and Toriel, causing Toriel ears and fur along with my hair to blow in the displaced wind while Toriel held out a hand to protect her face instinctively, I simply stepped back in surprise.
The wall blew apart with massive fractured bricks were tossed forward while the shockwave alone blew apart more of the wall by itself.
Frisk stopped in their tracks, mouth slightly open, simply admiring the meter thick brick wall they blew apart like it was glass.
After a short second that felt like a minute, Toriel slowly lowered her hand "it seems... that there is much left to discover about the changes from the Reconfiguration" Toriel said slowly with wide eyes not leaving the ruins... of the ruins within the ruins.
I opened and closed my mouth, while looking at the destruction that a single punch caused...
...I need a beer.

This chapter came a year after the last one, goodluck waiting for the fifth chapter LMAO
I think I did an ok job with Toriel and especially frisk, I want to flesh out the characters more, and I also wanted to give the world a chance to grow with the story, essentially world building and core characters are my focus rn.
Tell me what you think? Did you like it? Are you angry at my absurd upload rate?
Cya guys later... whenever that is.
