Chapter 185 - V5 Chapter 176 Sand of life

[ As I slammed the door closed behind me, I drew attention from a wind fairy standing right by the door using her wind magic to keep the mixed sand from coming in.

Other water, dark, and wind fairy were crowding the first floor, arguing over what was to be done there were at least 30 of them within the room. They were so into their argument, yelling over each other that they barely noticed me.

I awkwardly stood there, sheepishly rubbing the back of my neck, wondering how to get their attention. The wind fairy who noticed me silently stood by the door, not making any movement but chose to just watch me.

" Do you happen to know why thoughts aren't flowing throughout the land ?"

I turned to her and questioned, feeling like gathering Intel was a better choice than trying to stop all of them from arguing.

" Lord Mirauleo broke the pump upon entry and the pipes taking the sand when he ripped Lord Morpheus from his slumber. "

She answered nonchalantly with her arms still crossed and her gaze fixed on me but I felt she was more looking through me rather than at me.

" Wasn't any of the fairy able to put a block to those pipes when it happened?"

" Everyone was more focused on Lord Mirauleo blasting through our facilities like lighting and the pump at the time. All wind fairy were called to the pumps to keep the sand from flowing through the city. No one expected Lord Mirauleo to pull Lord Morpheus out of his slumber like that. In the end the sand bursted out from that end and it was too late to stop that wave of sand. On top of that, the two Lord fighting brought much collateral damage , no one was suicidal enough to be anywhere close to that. Which resulted in some fairy getting knocked unconscious by the sand while the rest are huddled up within their homes, probably arguing over what to do next."

She uncrossed one of her arm just to gesture towards the arguing crowd in the room before crossing her arm back.

" What are their options?"

I curiously asked.

" Well the first is to stop the two Lords from fighting, which is impossible. Since we don't know what provoke the fight in the first place and no fairy is safe going out in that mist.

Second is blocked the pipes and clearing up the mist by pushing it into the waterfall. Which again is impossible since if we had that kind of strong wind pressure/ magic in the first place. We wouldn't be in this situation. Also most fairy would fall unconscious from the mixed sand before they could even reach the pipes.

The third was to call for your help but because the wind hasn't been released for hours it has build up pussure and become too dangerous and violent to fly through it. If we release it now without any sand mixed in it, it would end up a tornado or maybe a hurricane depending where the wind takes it. Putting mixed sand with the wind would make mortals insane from such a concentrated dose and they might never recover. So the only good option is sweeping the mix sand into the waterfall where it would be recycled and purified by the earth before returning back to the surface. "

" Easy then, since I'm here, I'll just use my wind magic along with the rest of the wind fairy and push the sand into the waterfall."

I chimed and was about to head into the crowd and annouce their saviour is here. But before I could she grabbed me by my shoulder, holding me in place.

" That plan would work if you were in you peak condition. Even then you would be squeezed out of all mana and we would have to fly you back to your core, as quickly as possible. The reason why no one noticed you when you entered is because your mana is so weak it's the same level as a fairy right now. You literally blended in with the crowd if you go now. "

She pointed out then released my shoulder and returned to leaning against the wall.

" Ah... Right... So... Is there any other way I could help?"

I turned back to her, questioning meekly.

" You breath in mana and since your a world guardian the sand shouldn't effect you that much, so you could probably make it to the pipes and stop it from flowing."

" Would that truly solve the situation?"

I mused as I recalled the rest of the issues she pointed out.

" It would be a temporary fix. The only way to solve it would be stopping the fight but even if we found someone suicidal enough to step up, they probably wouldn't survive long enough to get a word in. "

She sighed and her gaze from me moved to her feet.

" I'll get the pipes sealed then and find a way to restore my mana with that we could probably solve the mist problem."

I informed as I headed back out.

" Be careful, without mana you're just as weak as us. "

The fairy reminded, I replied her with a nod, took in a deep breath and left the tower.

The mist was much thicker and all I could see was brown and a few dark shadows indicting nearby buildings. No matter how I squinted my eyes, sand still fond their way in, stinging my eyes to the point my eyes watered up, making it near impossible to see. I find myself once again stumbling around with my eyes close, feeling the area around me with waving arms.

Suddenly something crashed a distance away from me, reminded me of the battle happening above and how dangerous the situation truely was. I had no way of protecting myself from incoming debris or even a stray attack. Realisation hit me like a ton of bricks and I quickly casted a water barrier around my eyes, using my own tears.

It wasn't helpful but at least now I could see the shadows the area around me and navigate a little faster through the maze of mist and lanes. Finding the central headquarters was easy enough since it was located a short distance away from the tower but finding the entrance prove to be difficult. Reading the flow of wind I was able to detect where the mist was bursting out of and climbed through the window.

The wind pressure was strong threating to blow me out the window but since I had some protection magic against wind, I climbed in with not much difficulties. It didn't take long for me to find the pipes that were fluttering about releasing different coloured sand. With my water and snow magic, I froze each flexible pipe closed. With each pipe I froze closed, the less wind pressure was against me and eventually came to a halt, revealing the huge bed that my brother dreams on. Feeling drained from everything, I leaped onto the bed, laying there with my eyes closed and resting for a moment.

It was momentarily peaceful if I ignored the blast of magic and battle cries happening outside.

" Why are they fighting? What made Leo (Mirauleo) so mad that he shot through the enternity glass? I seen him angry before but never to this level. To the point where he disregard everything and was blinded by red. So blind to the point he broke his own bones without realising it. He probably stopped time one his body or even reversed time that could be why he didn't realise it since he couldn't feel anything...

But why would he stop time on himself without any reason? He must have done it before he got mad. Hmmm..."

I thought out loud before humming and being lost in thought.

He probably was overworking himself to the point his back hurt from sitting in his chair for too long. Leo isn't normally that hardworking though... He would always choose socializing over work any day... Unless it pile up and Mariana must have threatened not to feed him until he got it all done.

Which means... He now only knows about the God of peace roaming the earth... And probably the dark elves posing a threat against the young god. He might even get curious of who are in charge of putting a stop to that god, which leads him to Philomel and Amon.

The suddenly jolt of realisation, made me sit up within a second.

"Darzirak... Leo finally found out Mop (Morpheus) broke the brotherly oath. That's why... "

My eyes widen as I realised how angry Leo truly is and thankful that I never broken any oath I made. Unfortunately it didn't take me long to realise that I was the only one who could put a stop to the fight. I awkwardly turned to look out the window and saw the amount of destructive mana was in the air.

*Glup*

" I really don't wanna be me right now..."

I said with a huge sigh. ]
