"'You all have to keep your powers in check, and practice more on findings your true self. Do I make myself clear?"
Miss Ashley addressed the students, her hands crossed behind her in such a strict manner that no one could go against her.
"Okay...get ready for your training in five minutes. I expect you to show your worth out there, is that okay by you?"
"Yes, Miss Ashley!"
Lauren stared out the window after Miss Ashley left the classroom. The students also left the classroom while some stayed behind to display their powers like the usual. Group of show-offs. She thought, bitterly. Determined not to catch their attention,but it was like an impossible wish.
"Oh my! Look who we have here, sitting all by herself... aren't you going to prepare for the training?"
Claire moved closer with a smirk and all attention were on her.
"How could she? Have you forgotten she's not manifested yet, and you're talking about training... hmph" Blaire mocked. The students chuckled.
"Lauren, check out my power"
Before she could blink, the desk before her had been broken from the impact of Claire's fist. The desk came crashing to the floor, leaving Lauren with no desk. She looked up, glaring at her, knowing that Claire did this on purpose.
"Check my own out"
Blaire punched the wall beside her as she was sitting close to the window. A part of the wall came crashing down, a piece flew, grazing her cheek. Blood dripped down the cut.
Blaire and Claire smiled in satisfaction before walking away.
"Stupid twins" Lauren cursed under her breath.
Blaire and Claire are the Connor's twins, they have the same brown hair,but different color of eyeballs. Claire has emerald eyeballs while Blaire's was grey in color, both beautiful, yet dangerous.
Soon, the classroom became empty and silent. Lauren had her head on her school bag which laid on her laps. Jason walked in and stomped towards her, while Lauren raised her head, wondering if he wants anything.
"The Beta asks for you" Then, he turned and headed to the entrance but stopped again as if his message was not complete.
"At the training hall" Then he left.
Lauren's heart beat increased as she process those last words. This had better be good or else, she might actually pass out.
Walking out of the room, she made her way to the females locker room and headed to her locker. On it, different stickers and papers were pasted on it and she read one of the stickers.
*The Bitch!*
She tore them all, folding them in her hand before throwing them away. She opened her locker and picked her sneakers and training outfit, putting it on. After she was done, she packed her hair in a bun and let out a deep sigh. Then, she turned and head towards the training hall.
"Blaire, keep it up!"
Donald, the trainer whistled after Blaire's fight session with an opponent; Cara , a fellow student. Blaire smiled proudly as she came to sit beside her twin sister.
"What the hell is keeping Lauren from coming here?" He rapsed, while Jason sighed.
"I'm sure I delivered the message to her" He defended himself.
"Coach, I don't understand why we have to include a filthy human in our daily activities when it's pointless" Claire spoke up and everyone murmured in agreement.
"The Alpha requests for this, so if you have any complaints, go to him" Donald replied, and they kept quiet.
Of course, they could not go to complain to the Alpha. That would be going against his command.
The door opened and Lauren finally arrived.
"I'm sorry I'm late" She bowed and apologized.
All eyes now fell on her, and there were glares from all sides. She gulped as she walked closer to Donald and Jason.
"Why didn't you come earlier?"
"I thought..." She fidgeted. "Since I'm not one of you... it's not necessary" She whispered, her gaze fixed on the floor and Donald felt sorry for the young lady.
"Lauren... it's not your fault you're this way, let's just say that the moon goddess has something special for you. She probably wants you to discover your power on your own so as to control it...from now on, I won't allow you to be an exemption in all the school activities. Understood?"
"Understood, Sir"
Even though she wants to be exempted so badly, she still found herself here. Donald told her to take a seat, which she did, in an empty space, away from the rest. She crossed her leg before her.
"Now, back to where we left off, Bianca, you're up next!"
Bianca stood up and walked to the open space, stepping into the circle, smiling at the others.
"Who are you choosing as your opponent?"
As if she had been planning her whole life for this opportunity, she pointed at Lauren, who gasped in shock and fear. They chuckled.
Lauren's heart continued to beat faster, she knows Bianca is a good fighter, everyone knows!
"I'm in a bad mood, and I need to let out the tension" She continued to boast and everyone cheered on.
Lauren sighed and stood up, timidly. Hesitantly,she approached Bianca who was smiling so devilishly.
"Be ready for me, Lauren "
Lauren inhaled and exhaled to keep her nerves in control. She clenched her fists, maintaining a firm stand, deciding to use her trainings to at least injure this proud bitch before her.
Bianca beckoned unto her and she obliged, lunging at her. Bianca dodged her attack, skillfully, elbowing her on the back. Lauren winced, staggering forward, which earned a chuckle from the audience. She turned to her opponent, lunging at her again, giving her a kick in the tummy, which didn't faze Bianca. Bianca in respond, gave her own kick which met her chest in such a brutal force.
Lauren yelped, falling to the floor, and Bianca feeling on top of the world, let her guards down. Lauren, seeing an opportunity, cause her to fall with her legs. The air was knocked out of Bianca's lung before she recollected herself, but Lauren had already sent an attack her way and she saw it late. Her fist collided with her face and Bianca winced as another punch landed on her cheek.
Lauren, satisfied after seeing the blood trickling down her nose stood up, towering over her. The hall went silent, no one wass cheering as they remained shocked that Lauren had manage to defeat Bianca. But Bianca decided that it's not the end yet, and refused to be humiliated.
She touched her bleeding nose which smeared her fingers and rose with fury, cursing under her breath. Everyone held their breaths as the tension in the air thickened, and they gasped when her eyeballs has gone from brown to raging gold. Lauren gulped
