Chapter 32 - Old out of existence Egypt

**Ancient Egypt**

(Earth god's abode)

Nessy woke up again, feeling much better than before. She rubbed her eyes hard and stretched her body. Sitting up on the bed, she looked around her. This was a different room from earlier—or was it a different place? She couldn't tell. She studied the room carefully; its design resembled that of ancient times, just like she had seen in old movies and documentaries.

However, everything was gold—**including the bed, floor, doors, windows, walls, chairs, and a small attractive shelf in the corner of the room**. All was made of 🌟 gold! Or was it painted gold? She couldn't tell, but it sure looked real to her—like pure gold, not an imitation.

'Nonsense,' she thought to herself. 'No one can afford to decorate an entire room with pure gold from roof to floor. That would cost a hell of a lot of money, and she wasn't sure if anyone in Egypt had that kind of home—else the person would have been robbed to the core.'

She got up from the bed and noticed she was still in her former clothes—the ones she wore at the office after the photo shoot. The same clothes she wore when she was still in the other room at that pervert's house,' she hissed, recalling him bitterly.

She raised her arm and sniffed her armpit. 'Oh my god! I smell damn awful,' she thought with disgust. She couldn't believe she had stayed that long without a bath or a change of clothes.

Quickly, she looked around the room to find the door. She walked up to it and tried opening it, but it wouldn't budge. She tried again before a voice startled her almost to death.

'You are awake? Finally! I have so long wanted to behold your amazing grey eyes.'

'Geb?!' she called in disbelief. He had changed completely—from head to toe. His appearance was something she couldn't comprehend.

His attire was a simple white linen hanging low on his waist, then a collar made of gold, decorated with various ornaments, and most especially his gold crown. He always looked good, but now he looked glorious. 'Why is he dressed like that? And what is he doing here?' she wondered silently. Nevertheless, she was happy to see him.

She walked up to him and gave him a tight hug, but then released her arms when she remembered how badly she stunk.

'I really don't think you stink. In fact, your smell is very endearing,' he said with a grin.

Nessy felt so embarrassed. But how did he know why she pulled away abruptly? Were her actions so obvious?

'I can hear thoughts,' Geb said, answering her silent question.

'What do you mean by that?' Nessy asked, confused.

'Don't worry, we'll discuss that later. Just have a warm bath and get dressed. Then we'll talk over dinner,' he said with a sweet smile.

'Dinner?' she asked, puzzled.

'Yes, it's been five days since you were out. And this is the night of the third day, so I'm very sure you must be very hungry and tired. Don't worry, my handmaids will bathe and dress you, so you won't have to stress yourself.'

'Five days?! That's a long time. What happened to me that made me unconscious for so long? How is my company? And my mansion? Who has cared for it? I don't want to fail my dad! What really transpired within these five days?' She kept throwing questions at herself that she knew no answer to.

'Stop bothering yourself with questions,' Geb said sweetly. 'I will answer all your questions once my handmaids have taken care of you. Let me call them.'

He tried to call their names but was cut short by Nessy.

'Wait, Geb!' she called.

'Yes, love, is anything the matter?' His hazel eyes beamed with concern for her.

'Where am I?' she asked.

'Baby, how about you just take your bath and get dressed, then I will tell you everything as we eat,' he said, hoping she would agree.

'No, Geb!' she said stubbornly. 'I need my answer now! Where am I?' she asked again, this time with more audacity.

Geb let out a heavy sigh. He contemplated whether to tell her the truth or manipulate her to agree with him, but then settled on telling her the truth—she must know, and she was going to find out anyway. He took a deep breath before finally speaking.

'You are in ancient Egypt.'

'What?!'...

**Present Egypt**

*(Morsi's mansion)*

'Are you really sure of what you are saying?' Aposis asked Nut with a serious look on his face. He still couldn't believe what she was saying—that Geb blew her cover and now wants her and Nut, not Nessy.

That was indeed a fairy tale to him. He sensed something wasn't quite right but couldn't pinpoint what it was. He was sure of Geb's love and possession over Nessy, and that all he felt for Nut was just attraction, nothing more. Why then the sudden change of mind? Even disregarding Nessy not trying to find out where she was but instead fulfilling Nut's heart's desire—to go back to their time together forever.

This was indeed a miracle, he would say, if his opinion mattered. However, this miracle was for his own good as well. For if he didn't get the opportunity to take his revenge on Geb, he now had the chance to take away the light that illuminated his world and keep it for himself. 'What an achievement!' he praised himself.

'Yes, Aposis, and we plan on leaving tonight, so prepare the chants and will for us to leave, as you have promised,' Nut said sternly. She was now herself and no longer in the disguise of Nessy.

She felt so joyful that her Nessy had finally decided to go with her—to choose her over that worthless mortal. If not for time and Aposis not permitting it, she would have loved to teach that worthless mortal not to mess with a goddess like her or try to take away their consort.

Nevertheless, she was still going to use her will on her before finally leaving this time—to her own time to enjoy it with her Geb.

'Then it is settled,' Aposis declared. 'By nightfall, I will be waiting for both of you. Better don't waste my time, because I don't have much of it to lose,' he spoke dangerously.

'I have heard you, demon lord Aposis, but don't you want to reconsider your idea about revealing your true identity to him?' she asked thoughtfully, with evident concern.

'No, Nut... I want him to know the one who did him the favor of a lifetime—reuniting him with his future consort and lover. And maybe, form an alliance with him,' Aposis said proudly.

Nut understood what Aposis meant but wasn't certain if Geb would submit to him, even after learning what he did for him.

'Suit yourself then,' she said with a shrug before turning to leave.

'You sure do owe me a lot, goddess!' he yelled after her, unsure if she heard it. She didn't, because she didn't talk back or reply.

He stood up from where he sat and made his way to the room where he kept Nessy, excitement bubbling within him. He walked straight to where she lay on the bed and pecked her forehead, which he realized was very hot. He drew away and studied her for a few seconds, then realized she looked pale and sick. He sighed loudly as he ran his fingers through her soft hair, removing some strands from her face and tucking them behind her ear.

He felt so satisfied this morning. Nut, after all, wasn't the dummy goddess he thought she was. Although her cover was blown, she still managed to rekindle her and Geb's love for each other. She gave the best news that morning—something his ears itched to hear—and he had just come back from speaking with her.

Finally, Geb was out of his way from having Nessy all to himself. All he had to do was help them get back to their time in ancient Egypt, and then he would have this world and his Nessy all to himself. The thought of finally getting all he wanted—all the satisfaction and all the love he needed from Nessy and from this present Egypt, when he begins to rule as Morsi—made him feel very good and happy.

He just couldn't wait for nightfall to send the lovebirds back to their old and out-of-existence Egypt...
