The Brilliant Ray Fist Art was fashioned after the explosiveness and destructive might of Yang, while the Luminous Gentle Tide Scripture was modelled after the malleability and discreet nature seen in Yin.
The two arts complemented one another, one focused on frontline combat, the other on the back end of it, such as defence, reconnaissance, and the like.
Given that the Luminous Gentle Tide Scripture was yin-aligned, and that it was Yang Qing who had created it, the art held guided pathways for absorbing and refining various types of yin energy, strengthening the soul and refining the spirit. In doing so, it allowed the cultivator to develop powerful senses and a sensitivity to their surroundings.
The art had a compendium of spells for perception, defence, scouting, alarm, concealment, and healing. Though its strength lay in detecting dangers before they came, and reacting when they did, it also had more than decent attacking prowess.
