Michelle couldn't concentrate at work throughout the day. Her mind keeps drifting back to Alex. She can't just stop thinking about him. He is way too handsome to be forgotten in a short while.
"Should I call and tell him I just want to check on him?won't I look desperate?what if he knows I already like him or what if he thinks I'm forcing myself on him?"she thought aloud not minding the people staring at her.
Just when she was still thinking about what to do,her phone started ringing. she checked the caller ID and was surprised it was Alex. She was so excited and jumped happily. Her heart started breathing fast but she comported herself and tried acting like she wasn't expecting expecting to hear from him.
"Hi"
"Hi Michelle,how are you doing?"Alex asked excitedly.
"I'm good. what's up. I wasn't expecting your call. any problem?"Michelle asked.
"huh?not at all. Just wanted to check on you to see how you are doing and also to apologize once again. I still feel guilty and I'm really sorry about it"Alex explained sadly.
"It's fine actually. I forgave you even before u asked for forgiveness. I knew you were merely acting under the influence of alcohol so I'm not gonna blame you about it. stop feeling guilty. Everything is good between us"Michelle replied trying to make him drop the topic and stop apologizing everytime.
"Thanks allot. That really means allot to me. if you don't mind,I would like to have dinner with you this evening if you don't mind and please I wouldn't want you to say no. I would have love to take you to my favorite tea shop but I don't think that's gonna be possible for now cuz it's going to bring back old bad memories. I hope you don't mind having dinner with me"Alex offered hoping she could say yes.
"of course I would love to. just text me the time and location. Besides,the tea shop you were talking about is TEE'S TEA right?"Michelle asked.
Alex was surprised.how did she know?
"Yeah that's right but how did you know?"
"Well,maybe you forgot but we met earlier yesterday afternoon before our encounter at the bar. I mistakenly spilled a content on your jacket"Michelle explained.
"Oh,I'm really sorry for not recognizing you. You know I wasn't really myself yesterday so I couldn't take a good look at your face. I'm sorry once again Michelle"
Michelle loved the way he pronounced her name. Her face instantly became as red as a tomato. she was glad no one was in sight.
"I already told you to stop apologizing for everything. I have to go now. I have customers to attend to. Don't forget to text me the location and the time. Talk to you later"she said and ended the call without waiting for his response.
Michelle left the shop immediately it was 5pm. Alex had texted her earlier that they should by 6 at a restaurant that is 30 minutes drive from here. she just have to get home as fast as possible to change and also take care of her face and hair. She wouldn't want to keep him waiting.
"I'm really sorry for keeping you waiting,you know,ladies things"Michelle explained smiling.
Alex was dumbfounded by the sight in front of him. Never have he seen a lady as beautiful as Michelle. Her skin color is so lovely coupled with the red floral dress she was putting on and a silver heel with her silver color purse. Her black long hair reaching her waist and her brown eyeballs shown bright in the room. she has a light makeup on. She's a real beauty goddess.
"No, it's fine you don't need to apologize. I understand you ladies. Besides,I don't mind because you look so beautiful right now."He complimented
Michelle tried to hide her blushing face. She was really shy.
"What would you like to have"Alex asked beckoning to the the waiter not too far from them. The waiter took their orders and left immediately.
"So tell me about yourself Michelle Nicholas"He requested
Michelle told him everything he needs to know without hiding the fact that she's single.
Shortly after,the waiter arrived with their order and they started eating.
"so tell me about yourself also" Michelle requested
Alex wouldn't want her to know yet so he told her everything that happened between him and Kafy and also told her it was the reason for his drunkenness last night.
Michelle felt sorry for him but at the same time was also happy that at least,she has a chance with him. she doesn't care if he's rich or poor,she's in love already.
After finishing their meal,they discussed a little longer and bade each other goodbye.
