Chapter 368 - Chapter 368 - A Small Sparring Match Between the Elite of the World?

[Chapter Size: 2500 Words.]

Third Person POV

Konoha, 43.

...

...

Minato did not uncross his arms, looking at the two children in front of him, fallen on the ground. They were exhausted from the training they had just gone through. More specifically, that he had forced them to go through.

"Is it over already?" Minato asked.

The two children looked at him resentfully.

"Minato-sensei, how can you be so harsh?" Rin murmured, feeling her entire body aching.

Even though she was more at ease now, she felt a little embarrassed noticing Hanabi, even being the only one there, watching their training. Since she didn't want to show herself as weak.

Obito was lying on the ground, his head spinning the whole time.

"Come on, that can't be all," Minato mocked.

"I think you've crushed their willpower, Minato," Hanabi commented, feeling a bit sorry for the boys.

Minato merely raised an eyebrow. "I remember us training even more intensely. I remember you helping me create an S-rank jutsu when we were even younger..." Minato mocked.

Back then, when they were even younger than those two, Minato was developing something beyond — an S-rank jutsu at that age. But he couldn't even control it properly, creating several wounds on his hand and arm. Not that they were truly wounds, but the fact that he needed to use his Elemental Regeneration, with the light marks appearing as he used the jutsu, showed that he had not yet mastered the Rasenshuriken technique, with the wind blades injuring him.

And it was thanks to Hanabi's support that he managed to evolve even faster than planned.

Hanabi couldn't help but look at him with a nostalgic tone and even a certain love. It wasn't the first time they had truly formed a bond. Later, Minato declared that he would remove her seal and free her from the clan, making concrete the bond of that promise made by two children back then. The promise was fulfilled, and they became husband and wife.

"Of course I remember," Hanabi said with a smile. "That was when I fell in love with you."

Minato raised an eyebrow, not expecting that from her.

Even Rin, who was lying on the ground, suddenly heard that and looked interested, her eyes shining. She certainly loved romantic stories.

"Wait… S-rank? You were training an S-rank jutsu?" Obito couldn't help but shout, startled, fixing his attention only on that part.

Did he believe it? Of course he did. Minato could do anything with his reputation. Everyone in the village talked about him having multiple high-level jutsus. Even so, hearing that from Minato's own mouth was frightening, and knowing that he developed some of his most powerful jutsus in the academy was something not even Kakashi could do.

What were they doing right now, compared to that time? They could barely maintain a D-rank jutsu.

"Yes, but it's not as if everyone could do something like that at that age, Uchiha boy. Minato has always been ahead of everyone," Hanabi said. "But even so, we were a little different from the current classes, we had more stamina as Minato mentioned before..."

"We were the Elite Class. Even Hanabi's talent, who wasn't originally in our class, stood out to the point of being transferred to the elite class, since her grades surpassed many factors, right? Even the village itself acknowledged that."

"Wait, wait…" Obito knelt down, looking fascinated at the two adults. "Tell me more about this Elite Class. There are still rumors about it."

"All of my wives and I graduated from that class. At seven years old, we were already practicing chakra training. At eight, we had already studied jutsus to practice. You can see many famous names besides me and my wives around the village. They all graduated from that class," Minato said, beginning to recite the name of each of the ninjas who made their name in the war and after it.

"Incredible… so all of them come from just one class? Elite Class…" Rin murmured, with a hint of envy. "Kakashi definitely would have entered that class." She mentioned.

Upon hearing the rival's name, Obito couldn't help but grumble, but he looked at his sensei. "Sensei, so you were incredible from the beginning, weren't you?" he asked, as Minato began to laugh.

"No, it wasn't quite like that. I was average when I arrived, at least in the first month. After that, I started to stand out," Minato recalled.

He wasn't a member of any clan or a legendary clan like his wives. He had talent, but he had to develop it. It wasn't like in stories where someone picks up a kunai and suddenly gains every possible ability. The world was more realistic than that.

He practiced. And talent truly helped him, because in a short time he had maximized his skills in the basics. Then he began to develop things beyond that. It was no wonder that at ten years old, he could defeat an entire squad of chūnin and had already mastered multiple A-rank and B-rank jutsus. At 12, he was fighting against Kages, at 15, he could wound them. At 17, he was killing them with ease.

"So you weren't a genius from the start?" Obito seemed shocked by that information.

"Minato is the greatest genius the ninja world has ever had," Hanabi said firmly. "Just because he didn't have the skill at the beginning doesn't mean he couldn't learn it. He developed things on his own and even beyond that."

She said that to the boys, especially because Minato was behind the increase in power of each of the girls he married.

"Anyway, go get some rest. You can leave. We'll return to training later," Minato said.

Obito and Rin left the field still thoughtful about what they had heard. It was as if they wanted to hear more about those people's past.

Then Hanabi caught Minato's attention. "How about we train a little? It's been a few days since we practiced," she said.

Minato thought for a moment and nodded, accepting the invitation. "Why not?" he replied, shrugging.

Obito and Rin suddenly saw the two of them take battle stances, locking eyes with each other.

"They're going to fight!" Obito said, excited.

"Can we see how strong they really are??" Rin couldn't help but murmur.

In the next moment, before anyone could say anything else, Minato and Hanabi disappeared.

They reappeared in midair, at the center of the battlefield, exchanging powerful punches and kicks that generated sonic explosions.

The two children watched in a daze, unable to follow their movements, and not to mention that each punch and kick could easily break rocks, yet they were trading them at high speed!

They vanished into the air again, then Minato and Hanabi appeared once more, and a vacuum explosion suddenly cut through the air toward Minato, who had to dodge the tunnel of vacuum force just as Might Duy himself could in the eighth gate against Madara.

Hanabi couldn't produce something that powerful, but she managed to launch a long-distance attack just by pointing her fist. She was standing on the other side, her palm extended; the grass on the ground was dug up by the attack.

Minato immediately reappeared beside her, ready to throw a punch, while she quickly spun her body and created a massive sphere of chakra. Minato struck using only a blade-hand against the Hyūga shield.

In the next moment, only the two energies collided. Even though Minato wasn't using anything but his own body, he had physical strength powerful enough to cause damage. The explosion erupted with no winner, as the entire ground shattered. The children themselves, seeing the difference in level, were frightened as they felt pebbles falling around them.

"Hey, hey… what the hell kind of fight is this?" Obito murmured.

Minato reappeared at a distance, beginning to form hand seals. Hanabi moved as well. She made one seal, while Minato completed two, using an element he used the least.

"What? Just that many seals?" Obito couldn't help but exclaim.

This was a fight between elite shinobi. Mastery of seals, jutsus that didn't even need seals, taijutsu, and physical strength. The fight hadn't even lasted 10 seconds!

They saw Minato spit flames that exploded with such power that even the children stepped back due to the heat and intensity of the fire. The flames advanced, digging into the ground straight toward Hanabi, who created a reinforced stone wall. The fire was stopped by the rocks, which began to heat up under the impact.

Minato stayed alert for an instant, but Hanabi emerged from the flames. They were two clones of her, one on each side, advancing toward Minato before blasting the ground and appearing in front of him. The two appeared closer and, using the palm of each clone, they managed to create vacuum blades that shot rapidly forward.

There were many ways out of that. Minato didn't even need to worry about getting hurt by that, but it was training to teach the children who were watching, so he let the two palms strike his body with force.

Obito was about to shout when Minato's body, pressed by the two vacuum explosions, simply burst into smoke, turning into a wooden log that began to distort under the energy until it split apart.

Minato appeared a short distance away, opening a smile.

Hanabi made a gesture, and the two clones disappeared in an explosion of smoke. The original Hanabi appeared on top of the wall she had created and jumped through the flames before landing in front of him.

"This is fun, but how about we go to the next level?" Minato asked his wife.

She raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? Here in the village?" she asked. That would certainly draw attention, since their real training sessions were always done on another continent.

"We've been holding back too much since we came to the village. Let's show what we're capable of. Show why the ninja world fears us," Minato said.

Hanabi ended up nodding.

"What are they doing?" Rin asked, worried.

"I don't know, but it must be amazing!" Obito was already excited. He had never seen such a high-level fight before, not even watching veteran Uchihas fight did they reach the abilities of those two.

"I knew those two would be fighting. They always like to practice a little," a voice came from behind the children.

Kushina appeared holding a picnic basket in her hands.

"Aunt Kushina! You're here too!" Obito, who had been building a friendship with her, started calling her aunt before lunch had even ended.

"Well, I expected you to already be exhausted, which it seems you are. So I came to bring you some sandwiches," Kushina said in a friendly tone.

"I'm really hungry!" Obito immediately opened the basket and grabbed a sandwich.

Rin said nothing. She seemed more worried about the fight than about recharging her energy.

"So why are they trying to do this?" she asked. Rin could feel a very powerful premonition coming from those two.

Kushina lifted her gaze. "Those two… they're planning to do this here in the village?" she couldn't help but complain.

Even Kurama, who was sleeping inside Kushina, lifted his head attentively. Not even he could help but shiver when those two became truly serious.

Kurama had seen many times what those two were capable of. And it was frightening even for a tailed beast like him.

Obito was confused. He bit into his sandwich but kept his eyes fixed as Minato and Hanabi stared at each other. The flames and the wall were still standing behind Hanabi.

Minato simply closed his eyes and sighed before opening them again. His eyes were already yellow. His body began to change as natural energy gathered around him at high speed.

The air around Hanabi also began to change, as if it were heavier. Her eyes lost their bright blue shade and began turning green.

Minato was the first to change, beginning to transform into his dragon form. His arms and legs grew scales, his forehead formed two horns, and a tail was born from his back.

"Hey, what is that? He can turn into a monster!?" Obito almost spat out his sandwich, staring in shock. "But that's so awesome!" he shouted right after.

"Look! She's changing too!" Rin murmured.

Hanabi began to generate small green glows around her body, like flames trying to ignite, gaining an aura of even greater form and intensity.

Minato completed his dragon transformation, while Hanabi simply exploded into green flames.

Both energies erupted across the battlefield.

"Those two… do they have any idea of the damage they can cause fighting like this?" Kushina murmured, already calculating the need to raise several barriers to protect the village.

The explosion suddenly came from the two of them in the next moment, dragging Kushina's and the children's hair and clothes backward. The two energies generated a vortex of wind, and even the surrounding trees began to bend. And they hadn't even done anything yet.

Minato emitted a golden glow — not because of the Fruit of Light, but because of his chakra and the Dragon Sage Mode — trying to rival Hanabi's green energy as she activated the Tenseigan cloak.

They were less than ten meters from each other when, suddenly, time seemed to stop. The world around them turned black and white for an instant.

But not for the two of them. As they moved at the same time, it was as if their images remained in place. Minato and Hanabi reappeared in front of each other, ready to throw a punch, while their previous images still seemed to stand behind them, they were that fast.

The moment their fists met, the world returned to color. In the next instant, the explosion of both forces simply detonated, devastating every direction with far more power than the previous vortex.

For the children watching there, all they saw was an explosion suddenly appear between Minato and Hanabi, without even noticing their movements. In the next moment, the very earth beneath their feet began to rise, exploding in all directions.

The flames and walls were undone in the same instant.

The children couldn't react in time. They only felt their bodies being thrown backward.

"AHHHHHH!!!!" Obito screamed before feeling something grab him.

"AHHH!!!" Rin also let out a frightened scream as both of them were caught by adamantine chains, preventing them from being hurled away.

Kushina stood in front of them, her arms crossed, as if she didn't care about the explosion. Even with her hair being violently thrown back, she remained upright. The chains at her back swayed as they kept the children protected behind her.

"Those two… they're definitely overdoing it," she couldn't help but complain.
