Just as the two of them were chatting, new sounds came from the table.
With a "clack," Li Huowang immediately lifted his head to look toward the source of the sound.
He saw Dogwa tiptoeing out, hugging the food box.

Li Huowang lay back down, a wry smile appearing on his face. "Yeah, you're the only ones now."
If there was anyone in this world he could really trust, it was probably these fellow apprentices beside him—even if they weren't of much use.
Li Huowang pushed himself up on the bed with both hands, all traces of his earlier dejection wiped from his face.
"Dogwa, put the food box down, go get Gao Zhijian, let's eat together. After that, we'll leave."
"Leave for where?"
"Go home!"
