Ceil looked at Camilla with a smug face, "This is the test of obedience, and Isdis had given me full rein." She approached. "How should I test you? Humiliation, pain, fear, disgust, or pure will… No, how about I throw you right into it?"
The scenery around them changed as Merlin adjusted her labyrinth based on what Ceil wanted. Camilla didn't like what she was seeing, but Ceil couldn't help but smile as Merlin had given her exactly what she wanted.
Crumbling walls and buildings, raging firestorms, a cacophony of screams, and rivers of blood flowing across the streets, dragging endless corpses. Under the eclipsed red sun, the old castle was painted with blood, decorated with guts, and Camilla was there, in the middle of it all.
She held her head, feeling her heart racing, sweat rushing down her back, and her stomach twisting as if she had been punched in the guts.
