Upon the endless ice, Nina jumped forward at blinding speed, rushing toward Arad like a meteor, and he just smiled, lifting both of his hands to block her. But it wasn't enough, as she crashed onto him at full speed. A large shockwave propagated across the ice and was followed by a massive explosion.
When the shattered ice cleared, Arad was missing an arm, and Nina was several meters away from him, munching on it. He looked at her with a smile, and with a loud thud, his arm grew back up in the blink of an eye.
He started slowly walking toward her, and with each step, his entire body pulsed as his muscles tensed and his bones grew denser. At one point, even the air around him seemed to twist and contort as Arad loaded his body with as much of his draconic power as he could.
Nina stopped eating and stood, looking directly at him with an empty face. She wasn't thinking about anything in particular, but could at least see that he was a bigger piece of meat than the arm she was eating.
