While grey and scarlet ran around the the trees to sneak up on the frog kin village Rex and Jade watched the surroundings from their shadows making sure no ambush or surprise will occur.
As grey and scarlet ran in silence she turned to him "I see a few a group of unlucky souls!"
Her smile turned twisted as if ready to eat "let's eat them… I mean silently kill them off so they don't alert anyone."
Grey stopped and hid behind a tree for cover "calm down and let me scan we went the long way to avoid fights. But since they are unlucky as you say we might just have to get through them."
Grey used his sound rune to scan his surroundings there was three … no two were hiding in some mud making five total with three in the tree line armed with what felt like bows while the two hidden in mud had daggers.
"Hmm ok our goal is just past them the other areas are more guarded and most of their troops are attacking golo and the distraction group, there is two hidden in the mud there, and there can you silently kill them?"
Scarlet looked at grey "jajajaja little foot is giving me orders how ~cute~ yeah I can kill them silently what about those above?"
Grey looked ready to sprint any second "I'll deal with them… and remember Rex and Jade don't come out unless we really need help your our secret surprise."
"HMMPH!!!"
"Oh sorry zinc I forgot you were on my shoulder I'll toss you and you'll attack them best you can." Grey said to the mad zinc who felt left out.
Their shadows just nodded in their own as grey ran up his tree without saying a word.
"Welp guess we doing this now?" Scarlet growled sarcastically
'Foucas grey foucas, the goal isn't just to take back this territory but to do so without hurting yourself. So NO! transformations or using sound with your body directly.' He mentally reminded himself.
As grey made it to top of the tree he jumped high into the air heading towards the frogs from above.
Greys paws glowed with a small dark green hue as he charged up his second. "Cloud hop" he whispered to himself as a small green toxic cloud formed at his feet giving him half a second to jump off it quickly and silently changing his direction.
Grey used his cloud jump to stay in their blind spots before he appeared behind the one farthest from the group.
Using his cloud hop's momentum he spun as kicked the humanoid frogs throat turning it into grey dust. "Decaying paw!"
Dust and blood spilled all over catching the other two's attention.
They watched as the frog kin tried to scream in pain but his whole throat was decayed and quickly spreading before he dropped to his knees and fell off the trees as a corpse.
"TCH that was supposed to instantly and quietly kill him. The last thing I expected was for his blood spaying everywhere to give me away."
Grey saw one frog inhaling a lot of air probably preparing to scream for help while the other was about to turn and run.
Grey immediately jumped at them quickly after creating multiple clouds to jump off straight at them. "Mute zone."
As soon as he was near the two a vibrating transparent dome surrounded them blocking out any sounds from escaping.
Grey flew past the yelling frog as no help would hear him and attack the frog running away about to exit the sound barrier.
Grey grabbed zinc and threw her behind him at the frog that just finished yelling.
Zinc created a metal blade blade around her body that easily pierced the frogs left arm.
The frog screamed in pain as he fell to his knees but before he could pull out the blade silver strings came out the blade only to wrap around the frogs body slowly tightening.
While grey was chasing the frog that was trying to escape he compressed energy around his foot kicking air sending out a green flying slash the swiftly cut the frogs heels and sending poison directly into its bloodstream.
The frog fell headfirst into a tree just barely touching the ends of the barrier.
The frog rested his back on the tree watching as grey now approached him slowly.
The frog looked down at the ground only to see a bright red furred fox standing over two muddy frogs dead bodies.
He glared at grey with a spiteful expression "what the hell did we do to cause a fix and rabbit to work together?"
Grey stared at the frog silently and speaking after a stream ripping and crushing sound echoed out behind him.
"~sigh~ I- I don't really care for all this but this isn't about you guys the same way you took this land from those weaker than you we are doing the same."
Dark green veins quickly made their way from his legs to his head as his breath quickened.
"Ahh I see the goblin that seemed to escape and come back… I guess the the dart frog tribe wasn't meant to survive."
He let out a few heavy coughs before looking at grey with a little hope. "I know how these things go but can you at least spare the eggs they are innocent and haven lived a life yet."
Greys gaze turned heavy "I know but-… I make no promise but I'll try my best to save as many eggs as I can… so tell me your name at least."
The light slowly faded from the frogs eyes as he whispered so silently only grey could hear him "buh- b- bops"
Grey watched as he died with a silent smile before going to retrieve zinc from the tree lines and join up with scarlet.
"Hey um scarlet do you need all of them dead or will you keep some to help you build it all up since you're tribe won't be the only ones staying here?"
Scarlet thought on greys words for a few moments. "I wish we could but even clansmen rebel so why would outsiders listen to a hostile take over?"
"What if you raise the leftover eggs as part of your tube and develop a clan of multiple species? I mean Maria said she'll be nearby so you can help each other out if you need to."
Scarlet used her luck run see if this would be positive or negative but what she saw was a chaotic mess of green and red luck merging.
Grey saw her glowing eyes and her confused face and recognized it. "Well what do you see is it a good or bad ideas."
"It's a mix of both good and bad but I'm seeing a lot more green so I'll try it but if this goes wrong you'll be my toy!" She said with a wicked smile.
Grey looked at her with pure disgust "you think you can tame me and turn into another one of your mindless toys but know this I REFUSE to be caged by another carnivore so you try you'll find you'll become my toy!"
Grey silently turned and left her to comprehend his words as a pair emerald eyes glared at her from his shadow.
Scarlet stood there silently with a wicked smile and a body shivering in joy before she followed after grey and zinc.
Zinc created a metallic spider puppet so she can move better along greys back.
The soon quietly reached the ravine that lead to their village hidden inside.
"So how does us poisoning this helps us win exactly?" Scarlet questioned.
"Well frogs need moisture meaning they need a wet environment to keep their skin hydrated so if we poison the water they either leave or die."
"And what about us? Are we just going to live near a toxic ravine?" She looked at grey suspiciously.
Grey just let out a deep sigh "it'll affect the frogs or fish more making it hard for them to breathe until they die within and hours while giving everyone else a heavy cough. And even if the poison stays in the water I can absorb the toxins to clean the water so just protect me."
Grey jumped down and hoped off a poison cloud he created last minute Landing quitly n the ravine floor.
Scarlet used her trait to dash in between the the ravine walls until she was next to grey.
They looked around the ravin seeing the floor covered in water to their ankles and one side was full of clay building near or along the walls.
"Ok I'm going to start watch my back as won't be able to much when channeling massive amounts of energy. Oh and zinc full cover your body up this poison might affect you."
Every one nodded as zinc created a massive metal spider puppet armor as she set up metal wires around grey from above.
Scarlet faced the villages making sure no one approached.
Grey closed his eyes and put all four paws in the water while his body glowed green with a slight yellow hue.
The water around looked like it was tainted with yellow dye that spread rapidly creating a small amount of mustard mist above the water.
Grey stayed in place as his poison through the water, unfortunately the houses closer to the floor were the first to feel the effects.
Frog kins of all sorts of colors and ages slowly crawled out coughing and choking as the mucus on their bodies turned soiled and slightly burned.
Scarlet watched as her own throat became dry and raspy. She wasn't even directly touching the water at the moment but she still felt so what affect.
'Note to self don't piss of the cute toy to much in the future?' She thought to herself.
A few frogs in the buildings higher up came out to see what was causing all the noise only to see their kin below suffocating and grey obviously poisoning their water.
As soon as one screamed "Intruders!!! They are poisoning the water!" Almost everyone came out and saw scarlet, grey and spider zinc.
"Shit!" Scarlet mumbled under her breath as she got ready to fight for her life few frog immediately used their powerful legs to jump directly at grey only to be sliced by the metal wires zinc set above grey creating the perfect barrier for him.
Zinc stayed close to grey in her spider puppet still creating metal wires.
Others soon surrounded scarlet summoning water, blood and wind around them scarlet quickly dashed to dodge and attack between the almost near end horde of frogs.
She only lasted about a minute before a very young looking frog kin kicked her into a wall with heavy winds following him.
A few frogs immediately jumped towards her to finish the now injured enemy while others attacked zinc who was guarding greys body.
Rex immediately jumped out of scarlets shadow slashing the necks of three frogs with a single hardened wing and grew into a size to match them.
Rex immediately covered her hardened wigs in shadow blades and killed anyone that approached scarlet.
Zinc used her metal puppet armor to swiftly cut four times a second not letting any frogs past her.
The frogs had the numbers and power advantage but the longer they fought the more the poison choked them out.
What the frogs didn't realize was that the more they splashed and kicked up the water the quicker the poison would spread upwards as the yellow gas spread higher due to all the fighting more and more people were slowly choking to death.
"I'm sorry but my sad gas is the the most effective and least painful way for you guys to dies so just accept this gift." Grey said to himself.
A large muscular brown frog covered in yellow veins was cut and tossed aside by zinc watched as all his people slowly suffocated or were torn apart by the chicken and fox duo.
The frog couldn't say anything but his gaze said everything he couldn't as he stared at greys position.
Without a moment to lose used all the remaining energy in his bode and slapped the ground.
That sent a crack of earth into greys direction until it reached him. Using his very soul he opened a massive hole beneath greys feet dropping him into a pit that even he didn't know when it would end.
Grey was so focused on poisoning the water that when the floor beneath him opened in pure shock he released a massive yellow smoke from his body instead of the water.
Grey fell deep into the hole but his mission was complete the entire ravine was filled with yellow mist with his last burst of smoke.
While that was happening golo was fighting off most of the frog kin as a distraction.
He was now a bloody mess surrounded nine frog corpses
Cocoa was was in here black bear form being bombarded with water and wind attacks from afar.
Shin and karma were working together as she launched bone spikes into the tree line wherever he pointed killing a few frogs.
The foxes were doing ok but were swapping out when inside throwing the momentum of the frogs off a bit.
Golo noticed a slight yellow mist spreading from the ravine towards the slowly which caused him to smile a blood soaked smile.
"So you must be Jim! What a shame you couldn't stop me fully."
The frog with a metal like skin looked at golo questioningly "what do you mean while while a few of my kin have died your the ones slowly retreat- WAIT!"
Jim quickly turned around only to see a endless yellow mist where his home once was and the few frogs that were behind him were on the ground silently choking.
"NOOOO!! I'll kill you!" Jim immediately hopped with his full power ramming his metal head into golos body sending the both flying off.
