Evan Fairchild's reaction just now had left a lingering fear in her heart.
'Evan Fairchild had just... completely lost his mind!'
"Mommy, does it hurt?" Ian Monroe asked worriedly.
Melody Monroe raised a hand to her neck, not yet realizing what the issue was.
"Mr. Fairchild wasn't bullying Mommy. Ian, you misunderstood," Melody Monroe quickly clarified.
"But I saw it!"
"No, that's not it. We... It's not what you think," Melody Monroe stammered, looking up at Evan Fairchild.
'I have no idea what got into Evan Fairchild, acting like that all of a sudden, and Ian had to see it!'
'I was scared to death, and I still have to clear things up.'
