"Mommy, I'm gonna get you!"
Melody Monroe spun around and was startled to see Evan Fairchild standing in the doorway!
She stopped short, but her foot slipped, and she stumbled forward uncontrollably!
"Mommy!" Ian Monroe cried out in alarm.
Evan Fairchild also rushed toward Melody Monroe.
But he was too far away. Just as he reached her, Melody Monroe fell right at his feet!
Ian Monroe hurried over to help his mother up, complaining to Evan Fairchild, "This is all your fault!"
Melody Monroe scrambled to her feet, flustered. Thankfully, the floor was carpeted, so the fall hadn't hurt much.
"Mr. Fairchild, were we being too loud? Did we disturb you?" Melody Monroe asked quickly, holding her lower back.
"Are you all right?" Evan Fairchild asked with concern.
"I'm fine, I'm fine!" Melody Monroe said, shaking her head quickly.
