Ian Monroe finally saw his mom come over and immediately leaned toward her. 'Now, Mom belongs to me!'
After seeing Evan Fairchild and Ian Monroe off, Melody Monroe had just settled into the car when Tommy handed her a document.
"Mrs. Fairchild, this is the purchase agreement. Please take a look."
"Tommy, there's something I need to talk to you about."
"What is it?"
"Could you please not call me Mrs. Fairchild? Miss Monroe or Melody is fine."
"Why?" Tommy asked in return.
"Mr. Fairchild and I don't have the kind of relationship you think we do."
"But President Fairchild never said you don't have that kind of relationship, did he? Besides, he's given his tacit approval for me to address you this way."
Melody Monroe: ... 'Evan Fairchild gave his tacit approval? Why do I suddenly feel a little short of breath?!'
"You must have misunderstood. It's not that Mr. Fairchild tacitly approved; he just didn't clarify it in front of the child."
