Keith Coleman hurried to follow her.
"What's going on?" she asked Keith Coleman.
"Someone drugged the water."
"Who did it?" Melody Monroe was shocked, but one look at Keith Coleman told her he wasn't joking.
"Chester Johnson."
"He's here too?" Melody Monroe was stunned. She started to look toward the banquet hall, but then realized how abrupt that would be and stopped herself.
No one paid them any mind as she spoke with Keith Coleman.
Everyone just assumed she was giving him some instructions.
Chester Johnson was standing in a corner. Eileen Scott found his appearance unpleasant and had told him to stay out of sight. Seeing him lurking in the shadows, she felt a surge of annoyance.
She had no idea what Wayne Payne had been thinking, assigning her such an assistant.
Most of the time, she was even a little afraid to talk to him.
