Yu Zian quickly made his decision, not hesitating for even a moment. He knew that survival was his top priority, and he couldn't afford to worry about how many skill slots he had available. With the zombies' incredible strength, he realized that hiding in the dormitory was not a viable option. His main focus was on gaining as much strength as possible to survive in this new world, and he could deal with everything else later.
As he reached for the Level 3 Skill Book, "Summon A Nether Skeleton," it vanished in a flash of black light and entered his body, settling between his eyebrows.
As Yu Zian read the message, his mind was immediately filled with the knowledge of the skill. He focused on a strange rune in his mind and a voice spoke to him.
[Summon a Nether Skeleton. MP cost: 10.]
Without hesitation, Yu Zian made up his mind and activated the skill. Mysterious incantations flowed out of his mouth as a giant cave materialized out of thin air. It exuded an overwhelming aura of death.
As the spell took effect, a sharp pain coursed through Yu Zian's head and he felt a wave of dizziness. Then a humanoid skeleton emerged from the cave, surrounded by a black mist and with flames dancing in its eye sockets.
Yu Zian felt a strange connection with the skeletal creature from the netherworld, which would now fight by his side.

The Nether skeleton gazed at Yu Zian and as if the skeleton understood his intentions. Without a moment's hesitation, the skeleton walked over to the zombie Huang Yan had just been killed, and plunged its bony arms into the zombie's body.
A black light flashed for about 30 seconds, during which the Nether Skeleton retrieved a bone axe from the zombie's body. The axe measured 1.3 meters in length, and the skeleton held it tightly in its bony hand.
As soon as the bone axe was removed from the zombie's body, it turned into a puddle of putrid black pus and blood.
Yu Zian watched Nether Skeleton and then directed it to a wooden computer desk next to him and said:
"Cut the wooden table!"
Using the bone axe, Nether Skeleton effortlessly chopped down the computer desk with an audible splitting sound. The wooden surface was split in half with one strike.
"Amazing!" Yu Zian exclaimed, impressed by the skeleton's power. With such a powerful undead guardian, his chances of survival had significantly increased.
After testing the skeleton's destructive abilities, Yu Zian picked up the black coin and examined it closely.
Yu Zian touched the coin and received such a message. "[1 Cosmic Coin!]"
Although Yu Zian did not know the worth of this Cosmic Coin, he still carefully put it into his pocket.
Suddenly, a loud thud from outside the door startled Yu Zian. The sound of something heavy hitting the wooden door repeatedly echoed in the room.
In a matter of seconds, the door was forced open as four white-eyed zombies crawled inside the dormitory. Meanwhile, a window on the other side of the room was smashed by another zombie attempting to enter.
Looking at the shoddy construction of the door, Yu Zian sighed and ordered the Nether Skeleton, "Take care of those zombies that just came in!"
Nether Skeleton received the command of Yu Zian and took a stride forward: it struck a blow towards the zombie's head, splitting and sending its head flying, sending blood splattering everywhere.
Almost at the same time, 3 zombies rushed forward together and the Nether Skeleton was quickly surrounded by three zombies, each grabbing onto its bony limbs and biting down.
As the zombies continued to tear off pieces of its skeletal structure, the Nether Skeleton's health points steadily decreased, leaving it weakened and vulnerable.
The zombie gripping its right hand prevented it from using its bone axe to defend itself.
Taking advantage of the narrow door space, Yu Zian quickly attacked with his stick. He aimed for the heads of the zombies, hitting them with precise strikes. The zombies were caught off guard and stumbled back, giving Nether Skeleton an opportunity to break free from their grasp.
Nether Skeleton swung its bone axe, cutting down one of the zombies, causing it to collapse to the ground. The other two zombies turned their attention to Nether Skeleton, and began to attack it again.
Yu Zian stepped forward, holding the stick and striking the zombie's head; the zombie holding Nether Skeleton's axe-wielding right arm had its head smashed to the side head and was twisted.
A group of white lights from the zombies' bodies flew into Yu Zian's body.
Nether Skeleton's right arm with the axe was free and it immediately began wielding the axe, beheading the zombie.
These zombies posed an extreme danger to Yu Zian, as even a single scratch could turn him into one of them. As such, he preferred to avoid engaging in close combat with these monsters unless absolutely necessary.
As the zombie that had broken through the window staggered towards Yu Zian, two more zombies crawled into the room through the hole in the door.
Not wanting to engage in close combat, Yu Zian quickly backed away, keeping a safe distance from the zombies. Meanwhile, Nether Skeleton continued to fight the zombie on the ground.
However, as the zombie advanced towards Yu Zian, Nether Skeleton suddenly reached out and grabbed it, pulling it to the ground. Seizing the opportunity, Yu Zian struck the zombie's head with his Novice Staff, causing it to collapse to one side.
As the zombie fell, a ball of white light shot out and entered Yu Zian's body.
As the white light entered his body, A message immediately appeared into his mind:
[You have advanced to level 2 and you have earned 2 points, please distribute the points!]
"Distribute to Speed and Stamina!"
Yu Zian immediately said.
Fighting the zombies had consumed a lot of stamina, far beyond what Yu Zian had expected; he had only dealt with 3 zombies, but his stamina had dropped from 9 points to 4 points. In order to fully chop the zombie's head off, he had to use a lot of effort.
Just after a couple of breaths, there was a warmth flowing through his body, and he vaguely felt his speed and flexibility increase a bit and his stamina had started to recover.

Without a moment's hesitation, Yu Zian quickly decided, " I'll choose 'Eyes of Perception.' "
A light flashed; it quickly condensed and formed a bronze colored rune inside his mind.
As Yu Zian focused and activated the skill 'Eyes of Perception,' he looked at the zombie in front of him. Lines of messages appeared in his mind-
[Level 1 Infected - their bodies have been consumed by the virus, leaving behind only the insatiable desire for flesh and blood.
Viral Infection Ability - any break in the skin provides a pathway for the virus to infect the host. Depending on the individual's physical health, the infection can take anywhere from 3-10 minutes to take hold.
As Yu Zian took in this information, he realized the gravity of the situation. He needed to be extra careful to avoid any contact with the zombie's bodily fluids to prevent getting infected himself. The stakes were higher than he had previously thought.
As the last remaining zombie staggered towards Yu Zian.
Nether Skeleton wielded his large axe and cleaved; a zombie's head was cut off and sent flying.
"What is this?"
After activating the Eyes of Perception, Yu Zian could now see a ball of white light fly out from the zombie's body and divide into two parts, one heading towards Nether Skeleton, and the other towards himself.
"Could it be that this is what is causing my body to change?"
Yu Zian stared at the ball of white light and speculated.
As there was no information to be gleaned from the zombie, Yu Zian set aside his questions and turned his attention to Nether Skeleton, calling him over.
As Yu Zian utilized the Eye of Perception, the Nether Skeleton's status appeared in his vision:
