Villain Ch 1950. I've Played The Villain Too Long
Red squinted. "Pardon?"
Mastercraft slowly turned his head, blinked twice, then grabbed Alex by the collar and yanked him forward like a meat shield. "See? Possessed. I told you."
"Hey!" Alex squeaked, flailing as he was shoved between them and Allen. "Why am I the holy wall?!"
Red raised his sword half-jokingly, half-not. "Begone, demon."
Allen stared at all of them, deadpan. "I meant the kill."
He gestured vaguely around at the blood-slick floor and the now-empty chairs. The overturned table. The floating candelabras still flickering with that soft golden flame. The plate still resting perfectly at the head of the table where Mariella had once stood.
"At least they didn't go anywhere. No chasing. No teleporting bosses. Just... clean. Now we can go back."
He dusted off his gloves, like he hadn't just dismantled a dinner party full of the damned.
"I think I'll arrive shortly."
Red lowered his blade, blinking. "Wait. Arrive?"
