Loo Jinyang held back a bit and gestured inside, "Alright, go in, I'll watch you go upstairs before I leave."
He Xue's pouty face broke the moment.
"So I'm going up now?"
"Yes," he nodded slightly, "go ahead."
He Xue changed her shoes, walked inside, but suddenly veered to the kitchen to put the pastry in the fridge.
Loo Jinyang promptly reminded her, "That's flaky pastry, it'll get soft in the fridge, take it out quickly."
He Xue retracted her hand and quickly took it out, "Then how should I store it?"
"Just leave it there, have some for breakfast tomorrow, if you can't finish it, take it to work. There're only a few pieces, so don't worry about wasting."
He Xue listened to him very closely, did exactly as he said, even put it in a conspicuous place, then took a can of orange juice from the fridge and ran over to hand it to him.
"Brother Jinyang, smoke less, this is nice to drink, I bought it for you!"
She ran off as she spoke.
