Chapter 40 - Episode 5/Chapter 40: Silver Pitchforks Kill Big Bad Wolves!

At the sound of the big bad wolf's voice, Redalia froze in fear as a flashback emerged into her mind…

It was about seven years ago. Redalia Hood was happily skipping through the forest on the way to her beloved grandmothers house to deliver some apples she picked for an apple pie they planned to bake. She was only about twelve years old, but no forest was too dark and scary for her as she skipped along with the basket of apples at her arm.

Once Redalia reached her grandmothers home, she burst through the front door expecting to see her sweet and warm grandma waiting for her in the front room as she always was, but this time she wasn't.

"Grandma? I'm here!" Redalia called, but got no answer in reply. Redalia checked the kitchen and the guest room and the laundry room, but no grandma. Then there was only one other room she could be in. Her own bedroom.

Redalia headed to her grandmothers bedroom and opened the door. What she saw in the bedroom caused her to drop her basket and send apples rolling all over the floor. Her grandmother was laying in her bed, her legs were in the air. Grandma groaned and moaned as if she had a bad stomach ache.

"Oh, what a big tongue you have!" Grandma says in between breathy groans.

"Grandma?" Redalia calls out, still in disbelief and not entirely sure at what she was seeing in front of her. Then, the head of a wolf pokes out from under the blankets and from between grandma's legs and looks right at trembling Redalia. His tongue was dripping with saliva. He retracted his tongue back into his mouth in a rolling flick, much like a dog would do after drinking from a bowl and it was here that Redalia let out a scream of terror.

Back to present...

Back at Fairy Wings Distribution, in the forest and standing before the big bad wolf, Redalia was screaming uncontrollably.

"Shut that girl up!" The wolf commanded.

"Red! It's alright! Stop screaming!" Andrew tried his best to calm her but only a sneeze in her face from Teenie made her stop screaming.

"How'd you do that?" Andrew asked.

"Getting sneezed on by a fairy calms anyone down. At least I think it's anyone…" Teenie explained. But Red was still scared. She dashed into the forest and hid.

"Damn!" Andrew says before approaching the wolf. "Hey, listen, we have an appointment with the owners."

"Yeah, an important meeting." Teenie adds.

"Then I need to see your written letter and a signature from all three of them confirming this meeting," The wolf folded his arms. "And I know how to spot forgery so don't think you'll get passed me with fake signatures."

"Well, here's the thing," Andrew explains, "It was kind of last minute, uh…emergency. They called us and said we need to see them right away."

"What's the emergency?" the wolf asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Uh…some arrangements with a fairy regarding the…fairies-"

"Yeah ME!" Teenie chimes in. "They want to see me because I'm an escaped fairy and they want to punish me personally!"

"Hmm," The wolf rubbed his chin. "That sounds like something they would request. Doesn't sound like an emergency though….Im not buying it!"

The wolf puffed out his chest and got in Andrew's face.

"Who are you!? And what are you doing here!?" The wolf yells in Andrews face.

"I told you, they wanted to meet us!" Andrew starts to tremble even more.

"They never call for meetings with unknown people on the spot! Only written requests, two weeks in advance! And even then, it's virtually unheard of that they respond to any request to meet in person!"

While the Wolf was laying into Teenie and Andrew, Red watched from the dark of the forest, too scared to do or say anything. Everything the wolf was saying about the witches were true, after all.

"And as a matter of fact," The wolf continued, "I'm authorized to beat the living shit out of anyone trespassing on this property!"

"Oh shit…" Andrew mutters as he knew it was time for a real butt whooping, again…

"You can take em Andrew!" Teenie cheers. "Remember what you said earlier? You ain't scared of no wolf!"

"Uh, I was kinda expecting a regular sized wolf," Andrew argues, but it didn't matter, the wolf lunged for him. Andrew tried to turn and run but the wolf was fast and tackled him to the ground. Andrew screamed and wailed as the wolf punched and stomped on him, ripping his pants off with his teeth. Teenie watched in horror and so was Red who didn't dare intervene. She was actually thinking of running off just like she said she would…

Teenie didn't know what to do. She flew over to the forest where Red went and found her sitting behind a tree, holding her knees to her chest.

"Redalia! You have to help Andrew!" Teenie says. "That wolf is kicking his butt! And I'm too small to fight that monster by myself! You have to do something!"

"I-I'm too scared…grandma…wet tongues…" Red mutters.

"Look, show him that you're not scared and that traumatic event from your childhood will disappear!"

"Are you sure?" Red says. "What if he gets me too?"

"Come on! It's three of us and one of him! We'll jump him!"

"Okay…" Red starts to get up but hits her head on something.

"Ow! Shit!" Red cussed. Her and Teenie discover that she was sitting directly under a shiny, silver pitchfork stabbed into the trunk of the tree.

"Hey! We could use that to kill the wolf!" Teenie suggests. While Andrew continued to get his ass kicked, humped and dragged around by the big bad wolf, Red and Teenie yank the silver pitchfork out of the tree.

"Come on! I think I found the cure to my PTSD!" Red says and they run off towards the wolf.

Andrew laid on the floor beaten and spanked like the bottom of a ketchup bottle. His pants were thrown over yonder and his underwear were at his ankles. The wolf grabs Andrew by the hood of his sweater and holds him up with one arm to be eye level.

"You weren't supposed to see beyond the shipping and receiving garden, little truck driver," The wolf growled. "And I forgot to mention one more thing, per the rules of Fairy Wings Distribution, if I catch any unauthorized personnel beyond the shipping and receiving garden, I am authorized to kill them! Don't worry, whoever may come looking for you, will never find you, but they may end up drinking you!" The wolf laughed maniacally. Sharp claws elongate out of his paw.

"All it takes is one slash across your throat and you're done!" The wolf adds as he brings his paw back, but just before he could execute Andrew, something impaled him from behind. It was the silver forks of a silver pitchfork right through the wolfs stomach! Andrew is dropped while the wolf looked down at his death device.

"The silver pitchfork…" The wolf grunted. "The only thing that can kill me…why is that even here?"

The wolf falls over on his face and reveals Redalia and Teenie standing behind him.

"You did it, Redalia! You killed the big bad wolf!" Teenie cheered. Red looked at her hands, they were covered in the blood of the wolf.

"I did…" Red says in disbelief but also with some relief. Andrew gets up, he looked like he got the shit beat out of him and was half naked.

"See, I told you guys I can handle myself…"Andrew says, "I lasted long enough that you guys were able to find a weapon…"

"Uh, Andrew?" Red says, "you don't have any pants on."

"I can see your wee-wee!" Teenie giggles.

Andrew looks down and turns red with embarrassment. He quickly finds his pants and puts them on. Teenie flew over to the door.

"Come on! The witches are just beyond that door!" Teenie leads the way through the door. They were finally going to meet the evil witches that run Fairy Wings and who murder thousands of fairies every year. But what if they're more dangerous than expected? Would the trio ever leave Fairy Wings alive? Is Oliver still trying to get those deer to take the bills and stop running away?
