Chapter 129 - Vigilantes 2

While the sole witness remained to witness what had taken place, the four vigilantes looked over the unconscious forms that lay there.

It was silent for a couple of seconds before there was a rumbling sound that came from Gasser's stomach.

Springer was stretching out his arms and legs a little as if to alleviate some of the tension from fighting.

The usual signs were shown after exerting their Quirk without proper education on how to train them and to increase their overall ability to use them.

A fire Quirk would usually reach a point where it would overheat or burn through their energy, resulting in it causing harm to themselves if they pushed themselves any further, just as it could result in them passing out or experiencing a fever.

The same process usually happened in different forms as Quirks were used by someone, especially if they had overexerted themselves beyond what they were currently capable of doing with it.

They needed to work on improving those limitations just as someone would work out to improve and strengthen their muscles.

Some would devote a lot of time toward pushing themselves through that kind of training to let them improve their capabilities and to reduce the weaknesses they would have.

Unfortunately, such methods were not taught to everyone.

Those who were unable to gain a hero's license or attend a school that let them use their Quirk would not be able to use their Quirk enough to make those kinds of improvements.

There might have been various schools and organisations that did not teach that kind of thing to those who were a part of them.

It was mainly the best schools and organisations that used those types of teaching and training methods to create pro heroes that were of a much higher standard than others.

There would be many heroes, vigilantes and villains that would be unable to attend any kind of academy or organisation, just as it would be even more difficult for them to gain access to a more prestigious one that could provide those types of things that could help them.

Some people who possessed a Quirk could only fight for a short period of time, while others could fight for so much longer.

It just depended on how active they were with using their Quirk and how they went about training it with whatever they had available.

Each person had their own way of understanding their body and their Quirk from experience.

They had their own ways of adjusting to what happened to their body to alleviate the symptoms in some way once they had the time to do so.

Springer gained a lot of tension in their muscles as their body started to stiffen, so they needed to be able to massage those areas a little to loosen them up a little.

Gasser, on the other hand, reached into a pouch on his belt before taking out something round that fit in his hand quite easily.

It was a small clove of garlic which he put into his mouth.

The rumbling of his stomach slowly started to disappear as his body digested it, and he started to regain some of what had been used to cause gas or flatulence.

Various foods could be used, from beans and pulses to onions and garlic to vegetables, fruits and oat bran that were high in fibre and sugar or were more difficult to digest.

Some Quirks worked in different ways compared to most others, especially those that worked around what they consumed, since it was often based on their digestion, among other things.

They needed to consume certain things to use as fuel to make use of their Quirk, but there would still be various limitations to how much they could eat and digest within a certain time before reaching a stage when it could make them feel unwell or full.

They were only mild symptoms for both of them, so they were able to move on to the next stage of what they intended to do once they had taken the group of thugs down.

Springer looked over everyone before speaking up. "Sorry, lady, but it looks like we will have to use your home for some time. Please cooperate."

There was a stern tone coming from him that made it feel more like an order or threat rather than asking for her opinion.

It was her home and her right to deny them, but that was taken away from her as she was led back into her own home and placed in the bathroom to tidy herself up and to keep out of the way of what was going on.

It was very likely that she would become a target once again.

The reason would be that the task to target her would be taken over by others should the original group fail.

It was just as possible that it could be the result of the connected people coming to seek revenge or to gain information about what happened.

If she knew anything or there was the slightest possibility that she knew anything, then she would be the easiest person to get to so that they could get it out of her.

That would put her in danger, so it was better not to let her know too much and not be exposed to much.

It was better to have her isolated and kept in the dark about what else would be taking place and being discussed.
