It was not until they got close to the end of the back alleyway that there seemed to be some voices that could be heard from further away.
They were shouting as if orders were being given, but it was not too clear to those who were further away.
It just sounded like a lot of noise that had been more difficult to distinguish as it spread through the streets.
The sounds of footsteps started to echo throughout the surroundings as they became heavier and drew closer.
Springer was on the roof of one of the buildings overlooking everything from above.
He could see what was going on below, so he signalled toward those who were approaching from below as they were reaching the end of the alleyway.
He pointed toward the right and leapt across the air toward the building that was on the right side, allowing him to begin moving across the rooftops toward that direction.
He moved quickly, allowing him to get ahead of the others who were busy trying to catch up.
A large crowd of people could be seen running from the left and the front as they became clearer and clearer.
Their large numbers caused those paths to be blocked off as they caught sight of those they were looking for.
They grew excited as they saw the people who were running away from them, so they chased after them right away.
Tiffany controlled her two bodies to run as fast as they could physically move while running along with Gasser.
While he did appear to be in decent shape and had been used to his vigilante duties, making him tougher than the average person, she was still able to keep up with him when using her current puppet bodies.
It showed how he was not all that strong or fast without the use of his Quirk.
That could be a bad sign in some cases, especially when it came to people who tended to rely on their Quirk a little too much.
Although she was running behind him just enough to stay a little behind him, Tiffany was more worried about Gassser in the present situation.
He was the most vulnerable in the present circumstances and the most likely to get caught.
He was running at his full speed, using up his energy much faster, and he was running on full adrenaline in his present state.
That kind of state would only result in him tiring out faster.
Her bodies were very different as she did not suffer from such problems.
Stamina was never an issue since her body was merely a puppet.
The only thing that she needed to worry about was whether she was moving too slowly.
Her main concern was not herself, as she would be fine running at her present speed for as long as she could maintain it like that.
Gasser would not have it so easy, as he would eventually start slowing down.
It would be him who would start losing speed and would likely start falling behind her.
The current situation was quite dangerous, and Tiffany had to think things over a little on how to proceed.
She could leave things to Springer to guide them out of the present situation, but there was no telling what could happen before they were able to escape to a safe enough location and be able to evade the pursuers.
The sounds got louder from behind them as people were chasing them.
More noise spread out from the surroundings as if others had already been notified of their location.
It was like people were closing in on their location and were getting dangerously closer with each passing moment.
With each new route taken to evade them further, Gasser was becoming more tired.
Tiffany did not pay much attention to Springer, but she could imagine that constantly leaping around like that was tiring him out just as much.
It felt like they had been running forever.
It felt like the surroundings were closing in on them each time that they reached a new set of paths that they could take.
Just as they reached the end of one road or back alleyway, they ended up finding themselves confronted with one or more closed routes, leaving them with few options available to them.
As they got closer to the exit, which was closer to the outer area that the gang had less control over.
It seemed like there was only a final sprint left before they would be able to get away as they would soon be out of there with no other obstructions that would get in their way.
That was until they reached the final route and found that all three available paths had been cut off.
The left and right were heavily guarded while the path ahead had been the same.
The only thing that was signalled from above was to keep moving forward.
That was the only path that they could take.
They were being chased from behind and they could not go left or right.
Even if the path ahead was blocked, they had to find a way to break through.
Once they broke past, they would be able to get that much closer to getting out of there.
