Meeting Natasha~
A few hours later, the physician came to the palace to see Queen Elizabeth for the second time in less than two months. Everyone felt the queen was too fragile or possibly reckless to be receiving daily treatments.
"Maybe she's trying to get the king's attention on her," some of the maids would say while gossiping.
"Or maybe it's a sign that she doesn't belong here in the palace, I mean, who would want a weak person as a queen?" The other Maids shook their heads in disagreement.
Almost everyone had one or two bad things to say about Queen Elizabeth, and this made Kira's blood boil each time.
"How's she?" Kira asked the physician who had just finished attending to the Queen.
"The Queen is fine, she just went through a shock that was triggered by something...you might as well have any clue to what happened to the Queen?" the physician asked.
Kira nodded sadly. She didn't know what had happened, nor did the other queen explain what had happened; they just claimed that they had found Elizabeth lying unconscious inside the garden. It didn't make much sense to Kira, but she couldn't dare question the other Queen.
That night, the weather was chilly and quiet; it was a full moon night, so the clouds were bright. Elizabeth woke up from her deep sleep to meet the chilling hour of the night.
Inside the room was dark, and Elizabeth couldn't see properly. She felt weak, and the pain in her head made her groan.
"Huh...my head hurts... what happened?"Elizabeth managed to recall going to the magic pool, but what happened next was all blank in her mind.
"You should rest your head a bit, hurting ur brain won't do you any good". Someone said within the shadows of the room.
Elizabeth looked up almost immediately, looking alarmed and scared, "Who's there?" Elizabeth asked, but there was no response.
All of a sudden, something moved within the shadows, and Elizabeth was sure that there was something or someone inside the room with her.
"Show yourself," Elizabeth felt the cold breeze rush into the room and brush her hair. A sharp stare was fixed on her, but Elizabeth couldn't see the person.
Slowly, she came down from the bed and tried standing up when something crawled out of the shadows towards her window, where the moonlight shone brightly.
It was a creature, a strange creature with the body of a cat, the tail of a snake, and wings on its back. The beast climbed onto the window and sat, then licked its paws like an actual cat.
"A cat..." Suddenly, the creature transformed into a woman in her 40s and sat at the window, smiling at Elizabeth.
Elizabeth's eyes went wide, seeing the cat-like creature transform into a human. Elizabeth screamed in horror, "Ah!...who are you?...what are you doing..." Elizabeth jumped right back on her bed, pushing herself back into it.
The woman stood up and tried to approach Elizabeth, but Elizabeth rushed towards the door, only to find it locked. Elizabeth was panting so hard she didn't notice the woman standing behind her.
"It's ok, I'm not going to hurt you." Elizabeth turned to meet the woman standing close to her. "Go away, go away from me...help, somebody. Cristal... guards!" Elizabeth screamed.
"No one is going to hear you. I placed a spell in the room, and so no one will come," The woman said to Elizabeth, who was still trying to open the door to no avail. Elizabeth then took a mold sculpture that was beside her. Although it was heavy, she managed to lift it and point it toward the woman in front of her for defense. At least she wasn't going to give up without a fight.
"What do you want from me? How did you get in here?" Elizabeth asked, looking like someone who had just seen a ghost for the first time.
"I flew in through the window and am not here to harm you, "The woman said, but Elizabeth didn't seem to believe a word from her. The woman took a step towards Elizabeth, who was looking directly at her.
"If you could just give me a chance, I will explain everything to you. I promise I won't harm you." The woman's voice was so calm and lovely, and for some reason, it made Elizabeth relax a little, but she still didn't put the sculpture down.
The woman signed. "My name is Natasha, and I am your guardian." "My what?!" Someone flew into her room through her window, and claimed to be her guardian, as if such things exist, and now expects her to believe it. Was she crazy or something?
The woman seemed to smile a bit, and Elizabeth found it creepy. Why was she smiling?
"I understand that it doesn't seem to make much sense to you, but at least drop the sculpture; you are just punishing yourself. Besides, you don't even know how to fight."
After much thinking, Elizabeth finally decided to keep the sculpture."What do you want with me? Did the king send you?"Elizabeth didn't stop the questions.
Natasha seemed offended by Elizabeth's question, but she didn't respond either.
"I should leave now." Natasha walked towards Elizabeth and slowly placed her hand in Elizabeth's palm. "Elizabeth Williams, your journey has begun. You will face many obstacles, but remember: I will be there. Just call me, and I will come to you," Natasha said and slowly began to fade away.
"I don't understand. You still haven't answered my question. How did you know my name? Where are you going?" But before Elizabeth could finish her statement, Natasha had already disappeared into thin air.
What did she mean by her journey had already begun? What journey was she referring to? Elizabeth stood in place, confused. She felt so lost, and all she wanted was to see her mum. Why haven't her parents come to visit her yet? Maybe mum would know one or two things, right? She actually gave birth to me; she should know something. Elizabeth thought to herself.
