The battle was over before long.
Across the ruined landscape that had been transformed into a sea of flames, Wild Men lay scattered everywhere. Even as fire burned around them and rubble buried their bodies, none of them moved in the slightest. Whether they were dead or alive was unknown.
Fang Li and Sylvia stood in the middle of the fallen Wild Men.
One of them was taking off his coat and discarding the blood-soaked clothing. The other was silently gazing at the ruined city engulfed in flames, seemingly in a rather poor mood.
Seeing Sylvia like this, Fang Li inwardly sighed.
Unlike him, Sylvia was a person with a strong sense of justice.
If someone encountered danger in front of her, she would absolutely step forward to help without the slightest hesitation. Afterwards, she would simply leave with her usual relaxed and graceful smile, as natural and carefree as ever.
So perhaps the disaster before her had dampened her spirits somewhat.
Of course, it was merely a feeling of sadness.
Having once lived in a severely distorted world manipulated by the Integrated Enterprise Foundation and having traveled the world as a world-famous Diva, Sylvia was no stranger to the darkness of humanity. Naturally, she was not the type to break down in tears lamenting the cruelty of fate or mourning the state of the world.
Still...
"It looks like getting used to this world won't be easy."
Sylvia let out a sigh.
Indeed.
Seeing something did not mean becoming accustomed to it. Even though she knew darkness existed, Sylvia still found it unpleasant and detestable.
And Fang Li knew that she was right.
As for this world, Fang Li was not unfamiliar with it.
On the surface, it seemed ordinary, but in reality, it was anything but peaceful.
People lived ordinary lives day after day in the various cities of this world, yet lurking beneath that normalcy were disasters comparable to natural catastrophes.
Those disasters were known as Mysterious Beings.
They were entities that had abandoned their humanity and completely broken away from the human world, much like mutated forms of life. Some were humans who had transformed due to unhealthy obsessions, extreme psychological stress, genetic mutations, or other causes, eventually evolving into monsters.
Some were created through the use of unknown black technologies, becoming creatures beyond human imagination.
Others originated from non-human species that had mutated due to environmental pollution or various other factors.
Still others were special lifeforms, such as subterranean people, sea folk, or even aliens.
In short, they were the monsters of human imagination made real and most of these monsters, for one reason or another, brought harm to humanity and the world.
Terrifying attacks like the one that had occurred in D-City today were not uncommon in this world.
To better respond to such threats, people classified disasters caused by Mysterious Beings according to their level of danger.
From lowest to highest, the classifications were:
Wolf - The appearance of a potentially dangerous factor.
Tiger - A crisis capable of causing large numbers of casualties.
Demon - A crisis capable of destroying a town or rendering it completely inoperative.
Dragon - A crisis capable of destroying multiple cities.
God - A crisis capable of bringing about the extinction of humanity.
The incident just now had been classified as a Demon-Level Disaster.
In other words, if no one had intervened, D-City might truly have been destroyed under the Wild Man leader's command.
After all, although Fang Li had instantly killed the Wild Man leader, the creature's strength had been far from weak.
Based on Fang Li's judgment, while the ordinary Wild Men were one thing, the Wild Man leader had probably reached the level of a Third Rank existence.
That was the standard of a Demon-Level Mysterious Being.
Monsters of this rank were likely all around the Third Rank level. As for the Dragon Level above that, there was no need to say more.
Threats of that caliber were probably comparable to someone like Kanzaki, a Saint.
And as for God Level… The day such a being appeared would be the day humanity faced extinction.
For that reason, no God-Level Mysterious Being had appeared so far.
In other words… This world was just that dangerous.
Third Rank?
In this world, that was not a rare level of power.
That was simply the nature of this world.
...One Punch Man.
As a result, the contents of the Dungeon Quests assigned upon entering this world surfaced in Fang Li's mind.
Dungeon World: One Punch Man
Quest Difficulty: Third Rank
Number of Participants: 2
Number of Main Quests: 3

Recalling the quest details, Fang Li put away Moon Blade, turned around, and looked at Sylvia once again.
Seeing that Sylvia was still silently observing the scene before her, as though trying to engrave everything into her memory, Fang Li reached out and took her hand.
Sylvia immediately turned her head and looked at him.
Looking at her pair of purple eyes and exquisitely beautiful face, Fang Li smiled slightly and said:
"Let's go."
Hearing this, Sylvia nodded.
Only after Fang Li and Sylvia had left did activity gradually begin to appear at the scene.
Because people were already approaching the area.
After arriving in this world, Fang Li and Sylvia naturally received identities arranged by the Main God's Dimension.
Just as before…
Upon entering this world, Sylvia activated the special privilege she had obtained and descended into this world with the identity of a World-Famous Diva. Although this was a dangerous world where disasters could occur at any moment, it still possessed an entertainment industry and idol culture.
And Sylvia became the world's number-one superstar idol.
Not only did she once again gain billions of fans, but she also owned a gigantic villa in A-City as her usual residence.
Compared to Sylvia, the background identity Fang Li received was considerably less impressive.
He was merely an ordinary resident of F-City.
Furthermore, he was an ordinary citizen who had only recently graduated and was currently looking for work.
"The gap between our identities is way too big, isn't it?"
Inside the villa in A-City, Fang Li complained somewhat speechlessly as he turned on the television.
On the screen, news coverage of the D-City disaster was being broadcast.
"The disaster that occurred this morning in D-City has been classified as Demon Level. In only a few dozen minutes, an entire commercial district of D-City was destroyed, resulting in extensive damage."
Images of the disaster zone in D-City appeared on the television screen.
"As viewers can see, the area has been reduced to a sea of flames and ruins."
"The group of Mysterious Beings responsible for the disaster has been completely defeated. The suspected leader was even cut in half, indicating that a Hero arrived at the scene and eliminated the Mysterious Beings."
The reporter continued:
"According to the footage that has been recovered, we have identified one of the Heroes responsible for resolving the disaster."
"One of them appears to be the world-famous diva and unparalleled superstar idol..."
Sylvia Lyyneheym.
