And so, by 6:55 p.m., Kicho, Haru, Takeru, and Rachel went up to the Training Facility Halls to meet up with Shinta. Shinta, a tall, semi-handsome boy with red hair and a scary-looking pair of violet eyes, was awaiting their arrival while playing with a small bomb like a ball. Rachel then hid behind a training wall. "Shinta-kun…" Takeru said to Shinta.
Shinta heard that and glanced at them with a sadistic anticipation for the showdown. "Ah, you guys are here…just 5 minutes behind schedule…"
"Schedules don't matter here…" David snapped back.
"Can't believe you're a murderer, senpai…" Kichi added while being upset and disgusted at the same time.
Shinta's posture remained unfazed, and he chuckled their comments away. "Come on…I was curious about these things…my experiments…had led me to a conclusion that, theoretically, I can gain others' powers by extracting them from their hosts and inserting them into my body."
So, with Shinta stepped backwards and summoned bombs infused with Psychic and 2 other abilities to hurl at the students. "Now…" he glinted with a very sadistic grin, "…pour out your rage on me…"
The rage battle was on. Shinta hurled the bombs at the group, who dodged using their abilities. David used his Earth ability to create shields of hardened earth on the bombs. Haru used his Berserker ability to strike the flying bombs, and they exploded mid-air. Kichi used his Foresight to dodge the bombs as much as he could, as his school uniform caught debris from the flying and exploding projectiles, while Takeru used his ability, called Trees of the Earth, to summon walls of roots to block the bombs. Shinta was summoning various bombs like a crazed maniac high on alcohol. He was determined to drain their rage on him so he would continue his dark experiments in secret. Rachel, meanwhile, was behind a wall absorbing the trauma of explosions and Shinta's laughter for her strike against Shinta.
But then, as the bombs are getting more overwhelming for Kichi, David, Takeru, and Haru, the spirit of Minoru came, walked up to Rachel, and touched her forehand with his finger. "Here," he said softly, "my spirit power will boost your abilities for this fight against Shinta-kun."
Before Rachel would scream for help because of the ghost's presence, a glowing light brightened the bodies of Rachel, Kichi, David, Haru, and Takeru.
Shinta was shocked when he saw that and stopped summoning and throwing magical bombs at them. "Wait, what the hell?!"
In a few seconds, the kids' abilities were powered and strengthened twofold. Kichi's Foresight can now see into the future for 10 seconds, David's earth golems are now sturdier than before, Takeru's tree trunk shields are getting harder to break through, Haru's Berserker ability is now glowing a menacing, dark red aura, and lastly, Rachel came out with twice the swords she typically summoned and most of them are deadlier than the others.
Minoru became a Support Spirit, the type of spirit that provided boosting powers for ability users.
