"There's the Gnat I was looking for." Barklode mumbled as he'd look up, rolling his arms a bit as he watched his creations circle around, some being held up by the machine's arms and shoulders, some waiting across the rails that were left intact after Rhodes' crushing blow. "Could finally speak my voice in here for everyone involved! I'll even make the Devil listen to my words, considering he's also here with us."
"The Devil?" Harvard asked, his eyes locked onto the Scientist with a voracious fury, a mind and heart ready to reach forth and make sure everyone in this bastardization of a kingdom gets their dues.
"The one in the Mask. The Faustian Devil. The Bastard of Benevolence. He's taken way more lives than what you can count on those little fingers of yours. You must've been obvious about it, your eyes speaks of so much pain. So much hate. Before, when Wyvios was interviewing you all with your purpose for entering in Kabanaska, it held Wonder. Joy. Excitement. To see it fester into this emotion meant you've seen it, haven't you? Our little Gold Labels? Wyvios' idea, really. He was the one who wanted to broadcast it in every one of those clay huts and houses, all to make our people know the truth: Monsters are Scum."
"Would be inclined to believe it if it weren't for the fact these are PEOPLE!!!"
"And that's my point. Have you not seen how destructive we can get to each other? How Monsters and Humans are almost one and the same in ripping flesh and breaking bones? We are as much of a monster as they are, and such, must be culled if we want to ensure survival. I would frame this as 'survival of the fittest', but realistically, even the most fit and agile would be corrupted with absolute power. You can't trust anything out of us, after all. To Wyvios and his delirium of bringing out one's 'inner beauty', he can chase his dream and let them all become beasts. To me, however, I know fully well they're going to kill each other. Lambs to their own slaughter. We broadcast that small video worldwide with our Sun, and everyone will start to understand every living creature underneath its rule is an enemy. When the forces dwindle, when the bloodshed stops, we can act as their 'saviors' and govern over them, train them, make them become our tools. Our swords. Our shields. Monsters are Scum, and we clean it with our bare hands to remain spotless for others to see."
To see such a speech be so callous, watching as the Monsters were riled up more, their memories flooding back in being used as lab rats for some sort of species cleansing, would make the Card Magician feel sick to his stomach. The voices rang once more, louder than ever.
"YOU TOOK MY DAUGHTER, YOU BASTARD!!"
"I WANTED TO BE AN ARCHITECT!"
"MY BABIES WOULD ONLY SEE ME AS A FREAK BECAUSE OF YOU!"
"YOU RUINED US! YOU MADE US INTO ANIMALS!!!"
"LET'S SPITROAST THIS BASTARD AND COOK HIM UNDER A FIRE!"
"DOWN WITH THE KING! DOWN WITH HIS LAND!!"
Chants of incoherent voices and screeches, creaks of metal and stone, howls of animals and humanoids alike. All of them making such noises, all of them to be useless before the Scientist, his expression bored, his eyes deadpan, as if he's heard it all before. The two women were quick to creep up once more, taunting and acting obscene just on the off chance some can see her so they can be riled up further. "Figures... Monsters like yourselves cannot see my vision. I should've known better than to have my expertise be given criticism by barbarians and brats. What a sad lot, all of you are." He waves his hand in both discard and in casting down his magic, the bar code embedded in his hand quickly coming alive, twitching and cutting through, using his fingers as anchors to make five black bars come through it. "I suppose I might as well make sure all of you know your place. Perhaps giving you a visual of the world I want to make would let you understand my views better. It won't... but I like pretending it would."
"And what about that guy? Won't he be caught in what's coming up?" Harvard would point towards Dahak, of which Applin took it as a signal to get out of there as fast as possible, with the lumbering figure quickly noticing and being in hot pursuit.
"Even if he was caught, he knows of my magic. He knows the risks. He wouldn't be dumb enough to take this particular job if he didn't knew its consequences." His remark came quick as soon as both left, guaranteeing some level of safety for his ally as his hand was stained in black. "Besides... As I said before, Humans and Monsters are more alike than what one may think. I wonder what kind of emotion you'd express once you're a Monster proper. Maybe I'll run experiments on you after your defeat."
"Like hell I'd let you."
"Your consent is not a factor." His voice boomed as the bars began spraying such black ink, as he'd use his other hand to snap his fingers and trigger the walls around to open, rays of light escaping out, captured by the black bars, refracting them and ensuring every corner is caught by the light. Every monster around would recoil and shield their eyes, swallowed away by such malevolent radiance. Harvard stood firm, matching gazes with the Scientist as they were engulfed away. "Now then... Let's play our Requiem. Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and Girls of all ages! Our next experiment is a group project, for every willing participant that wishes to die for Kabanaska!"
"Let such light give you warmth. Let our Sun reign all."
"Censor Magic. Simulacrum..."
"Life is a Carnival... Now play as my fool. Entertain me."
