Chapter 728 - Chapter 725 Credit

"Annie, you've changed," Perry sighed and said. "You've become much more mature, not as willful as before."

In the past, when Annie was in the royal palace, she was very willful, antisocial, prone to playing pranks, and had a sharp tongue. Looking at her now, she realized Annie had changed a lot.

"People always have to grow up." Annie pursed her lips. Since leaving the royal palace, she had experienced so much. If she still hadn't matured or changed, she would truly be a lost cause.

"True," Perry sighed with emotion, saying softly, "As long as you're alright, that's what matters. I wonder how Bella is doing."

"I know where that woman is," Annie curled her lips, her fox tail swishing...

"Really? How is she doing now?" Perry asked, pleasantly surprised, her lion ears perking up.

"Bella is currently in the Chaotic Lands. She has occupied a territory there," Annie said softly, sharing some of the intelligence she had.

"The Chaotic Lands? The former territory of the Mancha Kingdom?" Perry muttered to herself. With what little she knew about Bella, she immediately understood Bella's ambitions.

"That woman doesn't have the ability to feed them, yet she recruited so many people. She actually resorted to robbery..." Annie grumbled, recounting the time Bella sent people to rob merchants.

"And the result? Did Bella send people to sell ore?" Perry asked curiously.

"I don't know. There hasn't been any news lately," Annie shook her head. She didn't know if the fiercely competitive Bella would agree.

"Don't worry, Bella won't do anything stupid." Perry knew Annie had a sharp tongue but a soft heart; she was definitely worrying about Bella too.

"Who cares about her?" Annie pouted, changing the subject. "Big Sister, what did you come to Sedona City to discuss with the Master?"

"Sigh..." Perry let out a sigh, saying helplessly, "Through our recent cooperation with Sedona City, the pastures have expanded greatly, requiring many people to guard the grasslands. We don't have enough iron tools and weapons, so I wanted to come find Lucas to trade for a batch of weapons."

"Weapons?" Annie froze for a moment, frowning in thought. There was some intelligence she couldn't share, and some requests she couldn't agree to on behalf of the Master.

Although Perry was her Big Sister, her current stance represented Sedona City. Furthermore, she was part of the management layer; she absolutely could not use her position for personal gain. That would be a betrayal of Lucas's trust.

She could only offer some good advice or minor assistance. She couldn't scheme against people like she used to.

"Yes, many knights are using wooden clubs and sheep bones as weapons," Perry sighed, saying bitterly. "Moreover, the grasslands border the territory of the Second Prince of the Siacan Kingdom, Greena. He has been coveting our herds of sheep and cattle."

"Big Sister, what do you plan to use for the exchange then?" Annie frowned. This wasn't good news. She knew how much importance the Master placed on the grasslands, especially the cattle, sheep, and horses.

Cattle were crucial for reclaiming wasteland and farming.

Sheep were tied to the meat and wool economy, and perhaps there were even deeper intentions.

Horses went without saying; both transportation and war required them.

"This..." Perry was left speechless, not knowing what to say. Besides warhorses, she didn't seem to have anything else to trade. After all, Lucas had already pre-ordered a large number of sheep, draft horses, and cattle.

"Big Sister, don't tell me you haven't thought of what to trade with?" Annie was dumbfounded. This didn't seem like the female god of war who possessed both wisdom and courage.

"Could we... owe it first?" Perry stammered. Her plan had been to buy on credit first. Later, when they had more warhorses, they could trade those.

"Cough, cough, cough..." Annie choked. Owe it first?

Who would sell weapons on credit? If that were the case, more than half the world would flock over to buy weapons.

"N-no? We can't?" Perry said sheepishly. She really wasn't very good at doing business.

"Big Sister, you are asking for weapons. They are already incredibly hard to buy to begin with, and with your method of wanting credit..." Annie trailed off at the end, giving her a 'you know what I mean' look.

"Sigh, it seems there's no other way," Perry sighed.

"Your Highness Annie, is there really no way? Could you persuade Lucas to sell us a batch of weapons at a low price?" Sally spoke up.

"Sally!" Perry frowned and shouted in a low voice, stopping the monkey-eared girl's topic. With her wisdom, she wouldn't put Annie in a difficult position.

"Oh!" Sally sheepishly shut her mouth.

"..." Annie was indeed in a bit of a difficult position. Caught in the middle, she was caught in a dilemma.

"Alright, Annie, don't listen to Sally's nonsense." Perry comforted her, patting the fox-eared girl's head, and said softly, "I will think of another way. Don't put yourself in a tough spot; you're also working for someone else."

"How about I go ask the Master?" Annie pursed her lips and said in a crisp voice, "Let's see what the Master's opinion is."

"No need, that would be too difficult for you." Perry quickly shook her head. Just meeting Annie here was already the best thing she could have asked for.

If it really didn't work out, she would just abandon some of the pastures after going back and raise fewer cattle, horses, and sheep. That way, she wouldn't be afraid of being threatened by others.

"Oh, right, Big Sister! Did Father give you a treasure map?" Annie's eyes lit up; she had thought of a solution.

"Yes, he gave me half of a treasure map." Perry nodded. She pulled out a treasure map from her bosom and spread it out on the table.

"Wait a moment!" Annie immediately stood up, pulled open a cabinet, and found a box in a hidden spot.

She had given the treasure map to the Master previously, but after just a few glances, he had returned it to her.
