Let The Results Speak For Themselves
I stepped into the grand examination hall, a cavernous space vibrating with the nervous energy of hundreds of aspirants. The air smelled of polished floors, old books, and raw ambition. Clutching my admission ticket, I wove through the milling crowd, eyes scanning the rows for my seat number.
And then my blood turned to ice.
Near the center of the room surrounded by some girls sat Lilith. She was laughing, the sound sharp and rehearsed as she arranged a fan of expensive pens across her desk like they were precious artifacts.
My feet carried me forward before I could stop them.
"Lilith? I thought you said you were going to campus. That you were late." My voice cracked with disbelief.
For the briefest second, panic flickered in her eyes. But it vanished beneath that familiar mask of smugness.
