After a day of talking with Inada, she agreed to join our alliance. She would lend us her soldiers, her knowledge, and her abilities. She would also try to contact her siblings to participate in the war. With them, we at least had a chance of defending against the Abyss.
She had given us a room in her castle and sent us to rest after a long day of travel and talking. I thanked her and went to our room. Eijiro was already asleep on the bed, his little chest rising and falling. He looked so peaceful and innocent. I wondered what he would be like when he grew up. Would he be like his father, a proud and powerful warrior? Or would he be like me, a shy and cautious bookworm?
I smiled and kissed his forehead. "Good night, my sweet cub. I love you."
