The next morning, I woke up early and went to the market. My outfit was plain, and given my own subjects didn't know how I looked due to years of staying indoors, no one paid much attention to me. Good. I didn't want any distractions.
I bought some fresh fruits, eggs, bread, cheese, and honey. I also got some flowers. Red roses, her favorite color. I hoped she would like them.
I returned home and started cooking. I made an omelet with cheese and herbs, and served it with toast and fruit salad. I also made some tea with honey and lemon. I arranged the roses in a vase and put them on the table. It looked perfect.
I waited for her to wake up. I was nervous. What if she didn't like it? What if she thought it was too much? What if she rejected me? I pushed those thoughts away. I had to be confident. I had to show her how I felt. Even if it meant making a fool of myself.
